Looks like he has good speed and good hands, but he gets tackled and doesn't run through tackles like Brock does.
After watching Yurosek during the August 4th practice, I could easily see him as a red zone option with center crossing patterns similar to what Darnell used to run.
He is listed as 6'4" but has long arms and jumps well.

Yurosek is 40 pounds heavier than in high school and look totally different.

1st scrimmage today...getting excited about Nate Frazier
From Graham's site
- One buddy who was there stressed to me that Nate Frazier is DIFFERENT. That's the exact way he put it and with the cap lock. He evidently had a great day today.
- My other guy who was there and doesn't know the friend above said that this will be our best RB room since Chubb, Sony, and Swift. My response was "that's some big talk". He responded with "I'm not joking" and he's usually a pretty grounded guy.
- Branson Robinson looks unreal.
- The defense looked pretty good today. Won a lot of the day.
- He obviously has a lot to process, but they raved about Puglisi's arm talent. "He can sling that MF" was the quote.
- Arian Smith had the first TD of the day.
- Lovett caught a lot of balls today.
- Ratledge still starting at center with Wilson out.
- Gabe Harris and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins both had a good day.
- They obviously have a lot to learn, but Justin Williams and Chris Cole look like one of the best pair of inside linebackers we've had from a physical standpoint.
- Aguero had a big interception.
- Jordan Hall will be out for a while.

I hate to hear that about Hall. Been expecting him to dominate this year.
As for Puglisi, the longer I watch college football, the more I disregard what people call "arm talent", which usually includes high velocity. I want a college QB who quickly processes which receiver will be open, has a short release, and gets it there accurately. If they do all that and throw bullets too, that's fine, but with college receivers and DB's there's a huge benefit to throwing on-time, catchable passes.

That buddy might have been Brooks Austin? Brooks has been talking similar things about Frazier.

Dunno, info is from Graham's site. Everyone has been pretty high on Frazier that I've seen so I don't think it's really an exclusive take.

Appreciate the camp updates.
I’m looking for CJ Allen and Colbie Young to both have a great year.

Gabe Harris is supposedly a little Tazmanian devil at defensive end and a "high motor guy," which means that he really must have a high motor because high motor comments typically are reserved for white guys.

I think that next season, when our giant 2024 offensive line recruits add muscle and lose fat, combined with our 2024 inside linebacker recruits, we'll have our scariest-looking team getting off the bus and in warmups.
Georgia and Alabama already are the two phyically largest teams in college football and we are only getting bigger..

If what I’m hearing about the RB room is correct, that combined with a second year starter in Beck is going to create a play action nightmare for opponents.
That is Bobo’s game. If he mixes in some “layering concepts” learned from Monken with Beck’s processing ability this offense will look like 2021’s defense.
Kirby will have them ready for the schedule and Kirby’s road record is impressive. Bama, Ole Miss, and Texas on the road is not ideal but Kirbs will have them ready.

I think we should all be excited about the run game. With all due respect to Kendall Milton and Daijun Edwards, this year’s group appears to be a significant upgrade.

Only thing that concerns me about Etienne is his habit of not falling forward and having negative yardage runs.
Even when Edwards would get stuffed at the line, he'd find a way to get skinny or spin and at least fall forward. Milton had pretty shitty balance but at least he'd fall forward. Etienne has a bad habit of going into a shell and not falling forward when there's nothing there and he gets stuffed. Or maybe we can coach it out of him.

Just ignore any ads and scroll down
Link is Warren Nolan.
Three other teams with better road records recently but none in a conference that matters.

Edwards quickly became a favorite RB of mine because he seemed to never get caught with a loss. He did seem to make yardage.
That said, with our Oline, I am hoping Etienne has a big year. He probably will not get hit in the backfield as much with our line than he did at Florida.

I took a quick look at that site and some of the statistics are incorrect. For current home win streak it has Alabama 20 games, Georgia 18 games, Tennessee 9 games. The actual home win streaks are Georgia 26 games, Alabama 5 games, Tennessee 1 game.

The streak right now that I'd be most interested to know about is the "longest regular-season game win streak" in college football history.
If' we're not there already, we have to be bumping up against it.
It's cherrypicking, but it's still helluva run we're on.

Not sure exactly what it is, but pretty sure it’s like 44 or 45 by Oklahoma back in the 50s. They went undefeated 4 seasons in a row

Random insider note:
quote:
Defense won the day but both made big plays. Kinda disappointed the passing game today. Too many bad choices causing turnovers. Some may not like this but Everette put a blanket on. Aguero made several plays and was solid. Q made some plays and Aguero made plays and was solid. If he keeps it up it will be hard to not get snaps. Oline looked very good in the running game but had some problems in protection. Do not sleep on Pugs. He is playing good with best arm on the team. Still has a ways to go in running the offense. Way too many penalties both sides of the ball. As always GO DAWGS!!!
