Apparently Andrew Paul is doing better at this point than B Robinson. I'm really hoping this is a good thing and not a bad one.

Paul got injured yesterday

quote:

Georgia freshman running back Andrew Paul was among the players who did not finish Scrimmage Two on account of injury on Saturday.

A source familiar with the situation said Paul limped off the field with an apparent injury and was expected to undergo tests following the Bulldogs’ second scrimmage of fall camp.

quote:

Paul and fellow freshman running back Branson Robinson have impressed, raising eyebrows in Scrimmage One with strong runs.

quote:

Paul has been the more fluid and agile of the two backs, with Robinson noted more for how he looks out of uniform as a weight lifter and his higher recruiting ranking.

Fact is, Clemson made a late push for Paul, whose 3-star rating was more attributable to his relative lack of exposure than talents.

It is not known when Smart or UGA will provide an update on Paul’s injury.

So where are our DawgCentral subscribers and this detailed scrimmage notes at? I don’t want to pay the $6 and was hoping someone in here would have some insight.

How does this happen to us every single year? Other teams lose walk-ons, 4th team lineman, etc. We always lose critical players pre season. Would be nice to enter the season as full strength just once.

Sometimes a blessing in disguise. We only discovered Brock Bowers when Washington was hurt to start the Clemson opener last year. I can give other examples but that's a big one.

Steel sharpens steel. Next man up.

We won't be the hunted, we will be the hunters.

Please for the love of God, tell me you’re not crying injury bug because of a one trick pony receiver and 5th string freshman running back. Get a grip man.

What string do you think Paul was?

I think he was pointing out he was a necessity from a depth standpoint

If he didn't look legit, would you still feel bad for him?

I probably wouldn’t think too hard about, if it were a walk-on.

Looks like Mykel Williams is gonna step right in and fill Travon Walker's shoes.

I don't mind other examples.
SVP when Tate got hurt (there is a good chance that SVP is a 3 and out).

AD Mitchell with no Pickens/Gilbert/MRJS.
McConkey with no Arian Smith or Dom Blaylock
Robert Beal Jr when we lost Adam Anderson (although this is Trending further away from fall camp)

It happens to everyone. We only notice it because we watch UGA closely. Bama has lost depth for years.
