This kid is the straight up truth. I cannot remember the last time he was even mentioned in a game and he is always out there. Teams don't even bother throwing his way.

Florida teared him once I think and that was it. Weird having a quiet line of shutdown corners after having a mediocre secondary for so long

Stevenson got picked on at the nickel spot a bit. But he made plays as well.

Having 3 options at nickel/dime better than McGhee last season gives me hope.

The key is winning first downs and keeping the opposing offenses behind the chains.

Having 3 options at CB also gives me hope (stokes, daniel, and Campbell).

He had a tough assignment guarding that TE of their's. He did a pretty good job against him keeping him limited for the most part.

I definitely agree.
They threw at Stevenson even when he was not on the TE, too.

Keeping everything in front is not the worst thing in the world when you can tackle right away.

Yup, I only remember one missed tackle by him that was bad but it was really late in the game.

He hasn't had a lot of game time action.

I know he will be ready for the december run.

Every year, we have a stud on defense show up midyear to solve a gap.

Last year, it was Jordan Davis (although he missed a lot of games with injury late).

2 seasons ago, it was Eric Stokes.

This year, the candidates are Walker and Stevenson.

Was it Baker who stepped up after the OM blowout?

I can't believe STevenson hasn't gotten more PT, every time he's been in he looks great and his ball skills are outstanding. I get that he doens't have the experience of Daniel and plays a different position than Webb but man I'd love to see him on the field more.

Next year with Stokes, Daniel, a Jr Campbell and So Stevenson we shoudl have no shortage of lockdown CB options.

I assumed that Stevenson was in the nickle yesterday. I thought stokes and campbell/daniel were out there at the same time.
Edit to add that stevenson was in man2man with the RB Badie and the TE. Not your traditional CB assignments
