Our coaches are very good at finding a weakness. Sometimes, it may take them until the second half, but they find it and exploit it. For this SECCG, I think they decided in advance that Alabama's weakness was that they didn't have the OL to run DeBoer/Grubbs' playbook if the defense attacks. Unlike Georgia's offense that Bobo tailored for Gunner and our inexperienced, ever-changing OL, Bama's passing attack needed a comfortable two and a half to three seconds for Simpson to execute, and Georgia was determined not to give it to them. And Simpson's not a guy who can sidestep and beat you with his legs. So they found a weakness and they attacked it.

If this had been a different Bama team with a different line and a different quarterback or playbook, Georgia's defense probably wouldn't have been as aggressive. But there's a reason that Kirby and company have averaged 13 wins and 1 loss for the last 5 years. They train their players until the scheme becomes flexible, they find the advantage, and they adapt.
