I lived in Creswell 4 years ago and it was a blast. Best location on campus for freshmen, and definitely the best in terms of socializing and meeting new friends. My friends who lived in areas other than the high rises during freshan year really regretted it. It may not be the most luxurious but it's really not that bad either. The ac units in Creswell are a huge plus, and living there makes the most sense if you don't have a car. Apartment style dorms such as ecv really take away from the experience in my opinion because people tend to be a lot less social, but it's not a bad option for upperclassmen looking to live on campus who already have a group of friends.

I lived in Lipscomb, which had an excellent location but was just kind of old. We did have sinks in our rooms, which made the whole community bathroom thing a little easier.
Everyone's first option was o-house, and for good reason, but Lipscomb wasn't a bad second option.

well yeah, chicken country unlimited and the hibachi grill are damn good reasons.
Dammit now I want ohouse for lunch.

loved bolton breakfast. I emailed J Michael Floyd once because they stopped serving the good hash browns. He personally emailed me back to keep me in the loop, great guy that J Mike.
You weren't really heading ot bolton other than breakfast unless you were already there. ECV had fantastic wraps of the day on Tuesday (some sort of italian thing) and Thursday (buffalo chicken
), and the philly station was legit if you didn't mind waiting forever. OHouse had CCU and hibachi which were both outstanding, and snelling sorta had a bit of everything. The baked spaghetti they had every few weeks was a personal fave.
I really miss the dining halls :(

ECV had that pasta bar with the cheesy bread too. I loved that shite.
Snelling was for late night breakfasts and nothing more, for me. I wonder if Sandra still works there.
you said it, brother. Next time I'm in Athens I am going to pay the outrageous fee to eat at ECV. You convinced me.

last bball game I went to I made up my mind I was gonna tear up some breakfast at Snelling but I called ahead and they had just closed the day before for Christmas break. Next time I'm in town I will make a point to go, to any of them.

It's really not even that bad.
My senior year I went to ECV and paid $12 to get in. Welllllll worth it.

for a college kid, $12 for a dining hall lunch isn't that cheap though. Breakfast was like $9 and dinners were about $15 which is crazy. And on the occasions they'd have the special themed nights, holy crap forget about it.

Same. 18 years ago. Rooms were nicer than the highrises at the time.

I lived in O-house my freshman year. It was good from the standpoint that my roommate and suitemates were never there. They were upperclassmen with girlfriends and so I basically had a bathroom to myself. On the other hand, all the friends I made that year were upperclassmen because that's what most of O-house was. I essentially missed out on a lot of the freshman shenanigans, and the majority of my close college friends had graduated by my third year. If I had it to do over again, I think I would've gone for Russell. Brumby was all girls while I was there, though I did manage to spend a night or too there.

me too. I was supposed to start in the fall like normal, but caught a rare virus on my campus visit and actually had to miss my first semester of freshman year. By the time I actually started the following spring, I feel like everyone had already done all the "woohooo wowwweeee we're freshman!!!!" kinda stuff.
