I would still argue Stet should have started over JT.
Review 2020 Stetson numbers and 2020 JT numbers, and then tell me with a straight face you still believe this.
JT was also hurt in 2020, Stet stunk it up so bad he instantly got benched for JT once he was healthy.

Hindsight is available now, JT never did anything after UGA, Stetson would have matured a year sooner with play.
Stetson been, by a large margin, is better than JT ....
One is in the NFL and the other trying to get a coaching career .....

bro, I was the one cheering for Stet in 2021 to the point TalkinDawgs admin sent a PM telling me to stop trolling, and I wasn't even trolling, just posting facts. You don't need to convince me he was better than JT. But that was after Stet was new and improved in 2021 over his shitty 2020 showings, and he showed it on the field, I saw it, others saw it but denied it because they had their wagons hitched to the JT train and so many people get dug in to their pre-existing narratives that they can't change their mind.
SimperFi is making the point Stet should have started over JT to begin with in 2021 therefore the coaches are morons, and that is completely absurd.

Not attacking you, but I have heard Bellamy, LeCounte, and Roqoun say the scout team Bennett was legit Johnny Football good. He actually pulled it back when he played for us. They said he was legit as Good as Mayfield in prep for the Rose Bowl.
If he had been treated like a real deal sooner we may have gotten another year. Even In the COVID year, he was concealing a serious shoulder injury.....
I think now the team has gone too far the other way with some of the current walk ons.
two legit players though were Stet and Dirty Dan Jackson.

Maybe, but then he might have taken a severe injury or been more susceptible to one later because he would have taken more hits in his career. Maybe he'd have left earlier, since he might not have felt he had anything left to prove. Maybe the coaches would have said "Yeah, this kid's pretty good, but we can probably do better" and gone looking for someone to replace him, so he just ended up back on the bench.
Hindsight is always 20/20, but it's never just a one variable equation when you try to go back and predict how the past would have gone had something been different. .Once you change one thing, all of the outcomes from that point on change, too, and the past is no longer fixed, but fluid.
Ultimately, the coaches went with what they thought gave them the best opportunity to win at the time. In the end, it all worked out pretty well.

This doesn't math. The year in Juco is what gave him that 6th year of eligibility on top of the 2020 free year. If he had never transferred, his last year is 2021. And he did start games in 2020 and he sucked, by the way.

Fair, not used to new JC rules. Used to 5 years to play 4.

At this point I would settle for a 50:50 memory.
