Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker both played the best games of their short careers against Kentucky, leading the team in tackles. The rain definitely contributed to their increased involvement, but is it a sign that we might be seeing more reps from these two?

As good as Tae Crowder and Monty Rice have been, Dean and Walker might be faster and more talented. If they continue to grow, I think our defense could be really special. Really excited to watch them develop.

I don’t doubt that our defense might be as devastating as we’ve ever seen next year. I just question if we will have an offense to match.

Both have quietly been getting better with each passing game. I'm hesitant to use the UK game as a measuring stick though since there was little to know threat of a passing attack with a 3rd string qb playing in the rain though.

Any success that we have in 2020 will be because of the defense.

If Fromm comes back I think our offense will be "good enough". Some aspects will certainly be worse than this year but others will be better I believe.

If Fromm leaves we are in deep, deep doodoo unless we hit a grand slam in the portal market.

To be fair to Erk, overtime didn’t exist during his time. War of attrition means something different in the age of 7OT

The young boys are definitely faster. I wonder how good Quay/Dean is on pass defense.

The incumbent guys are solid but with a definite ceiling. They are basically liabilities vs. passing teams.

We need to randomly blitz an LB or safety on every play. Make Trask spend half his time looking for where the next hit will come from.
