So it looks like in the tourney that we play the winner of Texas vs Ole Miss. Then the winner of our game plays Arkansas. Pretty decent scenario considering. We could make a nice run in the tourney.

Keep in mind, this was an absolutely insanely easy schedule relative to what we’ve had in a couple decades

Historically a terrible take. SEC being good at basketball outside of one or two teams at a time is a recent thing.

This has been the most enjoyable Georgia basketball season in 23 years, maybe longer based on our style of play. Leading the nation in dunks. We scored 74 points in the final 25 minutes of the game today. Stop and think about that.

I'm no Mike White historian, but the knock on him is that his teams fade down the stretch. We won 5 out of our last 6 games.

deeprig9 might want to fact check and do the math himself, but I'm pretty sure that this is the first time we've won 5 out of 6 conference games since the last Harrick team that was all set to be a 2 or 3 seed.

What a fricking season!

100% agree. The players got better after the Oklahoma game. Maybe it was a “wake up” call. This is now 3 straight seasons where White’s team has played well down the stretch. Hopefully we take that next step as a program and win a few more games this year.

Our out of conference strength of schedule finished at 294th in the country

If we played Auburns out of conference schedule we would likely be with them on the outside looking in.

I’m not taking anything away from this team. If you’ve been in this thread since the beginning, you will see I’ve cheered on the team every single game and never gave up on the team, unlike a lot of you all did after a bad stretch…the same as many of you all do during the football season.

I’m simply trying to settle expectations about the records we set. Just because we got the most wins in history and most ppg in history, doesn’t mean we are going to go as far in the NCAA tournament we have in history (final 4).

I’ve said it all season, if we can hit the 3s we take and make FTs this is a really good team (see yesterday’s stats on the road).

If we win 2 in the SECT, I think we move into a 6 spot…maaaaybe even with 1 win depending on how chips fall. Much more favorable than the 7 slot

You don’t need to constantly do it after every game. We get it, we’re not going to win the whole thing but you don’t have to remind us every time something good happens. shite gets old real quick. And I’ve read most of the posts in here. I don’t remember anyone seriously saying we were going to do damage in the tournament.

I don’t do it after every game, but unlike most people ITT, I don’t shite on our team and act like the UGA world is collapsing after a loss….ahem

Lot of people ITT talking about winning 2 games in the tournament. Again, could we, sure!, but realistically as a 7,8,9 seed it’s not probable. If we can play our way to a 6 seed here, then it becomes more likely depending on the matchup. Just like I said pre Bama game that we really matchup well against them…same as the comments I made about being matched up with a good Illinois team that I think we can beat.

But I also am not going to go stroke it cause we had a good record OOC and finishing tied for 7th in the SEC.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and God bless

Yea, they don’t like when a UGA team meets or exceed expectations. They also don’t have a rational understanding of our teams either. Makes for a miserable experience. Not sure why people do that to themselves

No one in here is talking about outlandish expectations

Everyone is excited about the program and being in the tourney for the second year and then you come in and are like yeah but we probably won't beat the 2 seed...yeah we scored 100 against Mississippi State but our out of conference schedule was super easy.

And I know what you're doing. You're posting this now so that if we do lose in the second round, you can come back and say "yeah I've been saying that for awhile" like a corny cornball.

And yes, no shite, if we hit 3s and make free throws we have a better chance to win. Great analysis

Georgia strength of schedule

'10-11 – 50th

'15-16 – 54th

'20-21 – 77th

'25-26 – 28th

…You've been acting sort of wingnutty
