He wouldn't be coming to UGA for Hankton. However, if he's good at forging relationships with players he can help get them more comfortable with their position coaches, other staff, possibly even other recruits as well. Then it will be up to the main recruiters to take over and close the deal.

Lindberg and Van Pran were just quoted yesterday saying that Hankton was one of the best things about Georgia.
Van Pran went as far as saying that if it were just about football, that he would head to LSU. But that his relationship with Smart and Hankton are the biggest draws to UGA. He also likes business opportunities in the Atlanta area.
I'm not making their words up. Check out the dawgnation videos. No one asked these OL about Hankton. But he's doing work for Kirby.

That could be true but notice you listed multiple other reasons as well. Hankton is a decent recruiter, but not a great one... and we’ve seen what kind of coach he is.

It was a 13 minute interview with Van Pran. He said a lot of things. Including that Hankton was one of the biggest draws to UGA.
I'm not going to lie and say that he only mentioned Hankton. I lay it out there. The same for Lindberg.
I dont know why it has to be "hankton is the sole reason" straw argument. Life usually isnt so black and white. I can admit that.
