My neighbor was from Hammond LA. Once we started hanging out, drinking beers, cooking food I suggested a Low Country Boil. BIG mistake. I quickly learned it is
Shrimp Boil
Crab Boil
Crawfish Boil

So when is the next big shrimp boil at LSUHNB Central?

The carpet bagger thing was a joke no offense intended

Yes when I move her to Oconee years ago I was buying shrimp boil stuff at academy and someone goes “you doing a low country boil” and I go “I have no idea what you just said”

But same thing when I first saw shrimp and grits ? I had massive question marks over my head as grits for us is served with eggs and toast. But it quickly become one of my favorite things to order around these parts.

Right now our Hoke smith crew plan to do our annual tailgate boil for the Ga Tech game all are invited we have a lot of walk ups…

Everyone should be aware that retooc deleted this man's ballot in the Riboff.

LSUhobnail, don't you feel slightly scorned by that decision?

retooc said your vote didn't count. Never gave a clear reason. He just said "frick that guy's vote, it doesn't count"

If you change your handle to CharbroilDawg9 then I will join you in asking for a recount.

Anybody who wears fricking brush pants to a football game is ok in my book.

Ha ha. Fair..

That was the Tennessee game last year and if you recall it was pouring rain almost all day and freezing.
We setup our tailgate (and start drinking at 7am) and those are the ONLY pants I have that are somewhat water resistant and big enough to wear thermals under (Since they are my hunting pants).

So it was function over form that day...

I have a friend who works at Inland seafood which is a big seafood distributor
He hooks me up with shrimp, crab and crawfish (when in season)

However in a pinch Costco shrimp isn’t bad..

I think this feud has gone on long enough. This is an internet message board for Gods sake. The RibOff was started in good faith and needs to return there. We have a lot of good cooks on this board and we need to learn from each other.

Next edition needs to be mid season and include any grill entry. Contestants needs to list methods and technique for educational purposes. One vote, one award for the totality of the effort. Splitting based on sides, desserts, dogs, etc. dilutes the title.

What say you?
