To be fair to last week, we only punted on 10% of those sequence of plays last week.
I understand fans latching on to something/anything to voice their disapproval. But the disapproval should be with results. Not false perceptions.
We have been stinking it up on 2nd downs (run or pass). 1st and 3rd downs haven't primarily been the issue (this game not withstanding).

It is a little bit of everything. Death by a thousand cuts last week (no attention to detail by the players. And that is on the coaches).
Playcalling backfired on the coaches (a lot of it was what fans begged for last season. 0-8 throwing to the tight ends. Staying with the run game [post LSU reaction]. Going for a 4th down which gave a bad SCar offense only 30 yards needed for the 2nd half points to send us to overtime).
This week, we had a gameplan that the fans hated. It worked. But it worked ugly for a half.

6 first downs in a half is working? We don't score a point against any of the top SEC teams tonight. We were bailed out by Kentucky running out of steam.
Not sure how you can watch that and come up with a positive take on the offensive gameplan

I watched the coaches and players interviews. This was the plan they had. I dont have to agree with it.
And it did work. 21 points in the second half. Swift had more yards than Kentucky.
As for other teams, I cant care about them right now. Why would I. We just need to work to get better for florida. Right now, the offense isnt where it needs to be without cager. Pickens, blaylock, cook, and jackson need to step up big for us. We have to get better.

We scored 21 in a half.
The game is 2 halves. The coaches game plan (whether you or I or any fans like it or not) worked. They beat the cats into submission. And by games end, the inside and outside runs were opened up. We didn't need to pass.
It was a 21 point in in a slopfest.
I dont have to like it. But it worked
