Everyone seems to fall into either the it's Bobo's fault or it's not Bobo's fault camp, it's the players. I have a few thoughts on this ...

1. Isn't it the Coaches job to maximize the talents and abilities of the players he is coaching? What does it say if an entire position group of players regresses from one season to the next?

2. Ignoring the questions around execution, Bobo's play calling seemed way to predictable for my tastes. The poor execution tied to predictability leads to much lower chances for success.

Like I've maintained, when your O-line can't block a high school D-line, nothing else matters. You could have Kyle Shanahan and nothing is going to work.

Football starts in the trenches. And saying that, Searles needs to be on notice. Don't necessarily fire him, but if the O-line plays like that again this season, then he's gone.

He is the OC and is responsible for everyone under him, correct? This means Searels too.

Everything is under the head coach.

I wouldn't give Searles another season. He needs to go this year as well. It's not like he had past success with his olines. We knew what we were getting when he came back. He should be the first one out the door. But you can be right about both.
