I haven't really followed the Braves since Georgia lost the Allstar game.
But the Braves scored 0, 2, and 1 runs in the three losses.
I was under the impression that it was the offense carrying the team most of the season.

Offense just evaporated. Riley was the only guy who consistently brought his bat the whole series.
Acuña, Olson, Ozuna and Arcia were total no-shows, minus Acuña drawing a few walks.
And RISP hitting was just God-awful.

Such bullshite that this team dominates for the entire regular season, gets a week off, and loses to a team that they beat for the division by 14 games. The wild card is a complete disaster and needs to be done away with. Beat the Phillies by 14 fricking games but comes down a 5 game post-season series? So dumb.

Playoffs either matter or they don't.
These are the rules that we have. It is kind of lame to complain about them now.
That said... playoffs always make me feel like regular seasons are too long.
If the regular season is pointless, why carry it out for 6 months.

Totally agree with you but I've been bitching about the Wild Card crap for years (not that you'd know that about me). The beauty of baseball is the endurance teams need to get through 162 with a top record in the league. As you say, it's essentially pointless now. Manfred gonna Manfred.
