Most on here have gold fish memories, so I’m probably not giving anything away. But I think a perfect bacon, egg, n cheese sandwich on lightly toasted white bread with Dukes mayo. And on the side , sliced tomatoes from my own garden with balsamic vinegar and some cracked pepper. And unsweet ice tea in an rtic tumbler

That’s a Griddle Off 2026 blue ribbon winner , right there

I also get the unsweet tea, but the last few months my Waffle Houses have stopped making it. So sweet it is.

One of the cool things about Georgia is there's never just one waffle house. Every town has the "good" waffle house and the "bad" waffle house.

Every Sunday around lunchtime my son and I go to waffle house together, the closest one is the "bad" waffle house, so we drive the extra 7 minutes to the "good" waffle house. We've had enough of the "bad" one.

Blackstone is worth the money if you like to cook.

I’ve had yeti and rtic coolers/ experiences. Yeti customer service is worth every penny and they’ve replaced latches and handles multiple times on my coolers despite being 10+ years old with no issue.
Rtic wouldn’t replace a defected/ broken zipper less than a month after purchased (Only used 3-4 times).

Yall are taking interesting angles on rtic vs yeti. The Yeti marketing campaign (genius, imo) deserves its own thread but that’s not to say I like their products. I got a rtic 30 oz tumbler for Christmas …and let me tell you that the ceramic inner coating is legit . Not to mention the genius rubber bottom deal that keeps it from sliding off surfaces

For fellows that enjoy the life enhancing drug of high temp caffeinated beverages, Rtic is the way . Paradigm shift

What about clean up though? Is it a pain in the arse to keep it seasoned and clean and not rusted ?

I've only seasoned mine once when it was right out of the box. I'm sure it probably helps to do it more, but I haven't and haven't seen any notiecable issues.

Mine came with the blackstone seasoning goop and I watched a few youtube videos on waht to do. You've gotta get that first step down pat, but I think if you do that origianl seasoning correctly you're good for the long haul.

For cleaning I don't wait. Once I'm done cooking and the burner are off but things are still hot, I spray water on it and use the scraper and get all the gunk off into the hole in the back. Do that a couple times. Then go inside for a while. Come back after it's totally cooled off and use paper towels to get all the residue and it looks good as new.

Lastly, I'm not a cooker. Never been a grill guy. But I got one as a gift a few years ago and instantly loved it, it's just so easy and idiot-proof it makes me want to get out there and use it. Burgers, philly steaks, chicken, veggies, everythign breakfast-related you can think of...tons of options. And I love that the surface is so big that on Sundays I'll cook a ton of food that we can then eat on all throughout the week.

Im off the fence. Might grab one tomorrow

Be warned..I bought a griddle top for my Weber gas grill and the novelty wears off quickly. Once you cook up some habachi and smash burgers with the extra space then there’s not much more it brings to the table that you cant do indoors with a skillet or griddle on a stove eye.

I don’t know what you have but a Weber kettle or smoker is a better investment IMO. Burgers over charcoal in the kettle are superior.

Plus..who is going to go outside in the morning and griddle up breakfast?

Yaeh. I feel like its gonna be a smash burger and fajita maker

Great fajita makers. Burgers are super easy. Grill on high, oh and you need one of these tools. Something you need to try - place the buns inside down and toast them so they soak up a little grease…then put the patties on the untoasted side. Winner winner. Oh, and use parchment paper between the masher and the patty.

We did Christmas breakfast on ours: hashbrowns, eggs, sausage, bacon and then pancakes - about 15 at once

Thats part of the appeal to me. I think i would be more motivated to make a giant breakfast because everything is better outside, plus your house wont smell like a Waffle House when you get done

Have you tried cooking hashbrowns on it? Can they reach Waffle house level scattered, smothered, covered, and chunked?

Ive tried replicating in a skillet, but it never comes anywhere close

If you like that type food, hibachi style on the Blackstone is money.

ETA: Breakfast Waffle House style is $$ as well.
