I agree. He’s a Georgia boy through and through and through. Still speaks with a fire about his high school and UGA.

How would a Bobo offense mesh with a Pittman line? Didn’t Bobo have a lot of zone blocking schemes? Would that work with downhill maulers?
I fondly remember the Murray/Bobo high powered seasons.....but I also remember “run the damn ball Bobo” being a thing. I also remember getting shut down by lesser teams every season with now proven NFL talent on our O roster.
Let’s think this through.

Will Friend's OL coaching was a downhill man scheme. It produced the best rushing season of Mark Richt's tenure in 2014 (258 ypg, 6.0 ypc, 38 TD).

Going to South Carolina and getting fired next year won't do much for him.

Who also had one of the top 5 stable of backs in NCAA history.

Lol that reminds me of when in 2014 against Clemson Gurley had touched the ball 3x by half, maybe 4x. And rightfully so Richt and Bobo got ripped by the announcers for being too cute and not using Todd Gurley. And that was his last year in Athens.

Todd, Nick and Sony were only healthy/active for the first four games.
My point is that the offensive line coaching wasn't a problem. Bobo's best 3 offenses at UGA were with the same style.
