It’s the first game. We’re definitely much more athletic. This is also some lame non attended game. No atmosphere. I’m not reading too much into this.

Not sure how you want to interpret it, but I think there is quite a bit to read into this. We need to shoot better all around. We need to block out and get some better opportunities at rebounds, we need to establish a backcourt, we need to contest shots and trust on some big man play. I think this is coachable and a product of excitement, but to say there is nothing to read into it is a biased statement.

If we had won by 30 in this same “lame non attended game” with “No atmosphere,” there would be 20 new people in here talking about dancing in March

I’m still a believer this team is good. We have a pretty brutal opening 6 games considering the new team we have, but I’m still excited to see where we go

If anything this team is scrappy, there’s a lot to work on if we won’t to make the dance but it’s definitely not an unrealistic dream

Need the translucent white guy to stick around a few years and become a shooter. Seems like he and Rahim have a good outside stroke.

But agree it's tough not knowing any of these dudes...at least they played hard.

definitely. I really don't understand the poeple that come out of the woodwork 15 minutes into the first game with the "aw man we suck again" routine. Guarantee you those people don't watch a lick of basketball, just happened to see UGA was playing today, turned it on to see us losing, then took the internet to be funny. Anyone following this program can see that we are on better footing in all aspects (coaching, talent, roster management, recruiting, fan and admin support) than we've been since the Harrick days if not longer.

It's not like this was Oregon tech U either, this is a damn good team. Can't imagin we'll face too many teams wiht multiple 7' skilled bigs again either.

Oregon always wins 18-25 games a year. They’ve missed the NCAAT 3/5 years but still won 20+ games each of those years. Historically, they’ve been dominant in their conference. They’re skilled and very talented this year. If we average 71 PPG while shooting 34%, that’s clearly an improvement. 40% or better will result in more wins this year. That game was in an awkward setting. Looking forward to see what they do against WF at home.

Our defense looked really good at times. It just feels like we should be a lot better than last year.

Moncrieffe and Anselem started a lot of games last year and they barely played yesterday

I think we will be a lot better. With the SEC being as hard as it is combined with our ridiculous OOC it's entirely possible we're a much better team but have a worse record.

Really need this game tonight. Hopefully we can pull off the upset over a pretty decent WF squad. No Appleby this year to kill us.

I get it… Almost a pick ‘em. I know WF can shoot the ball well and has great guard play. They gotta good PF who’s a double-double guy. It’ll be a tough game.
