So no not here to even discuss the game or the result. Not the place for it.

Obviously been 8 years since we have played in the SEC Championship game and my family and I had a great time with many friends and family in for the game. We stayed at the LSU hotel (Marriott Marquee) did the College HOF, SEC Fan Days for the LSU pep rally and my daughter in her Fournette Jersey (I know a little dated) etc had a great time Friday and Saturday at Fan Days. Sadly I have a brutal head cold since Wednesday so it has been a struggle.

Ironic or Funny, the Marriott had a "Latin/Asian Transgender pageant" in the hotel going on. the center bar was not kid friendly to say the least. I did not want to explain that to a 13 year old girl just yet. yes I am not making that up. Talk about odd timing.
Sure... there is a joke there teed up on that.

Anyway my question is this. That stadium was EASILY 75%-25% UGA vs LSU. We tend to travel well and being we rarely make this game many came from my tribe. But we basically just had that one corner.

is it always like that when UGA is in the SEC title game? That is a HUGE advantage. My daughter (She is only 13) was getting all upset because "Joe Cant hear !!!" she kept yelling at the UGA fans. She doesnt get that is the point.

Also now I know how y'all feel now. Between this game and now the Playoff back in Peach Bowl I am hemorrhaging cash. But thankfully I dont have to deal with Airfare.

Thankfully my house was still standing when I got back to town..

i think this is why it was so lop-sided. your fans knew they were gonna be in the playoffs win or lose. saving money for the bigger games.

i think the past two SECCG were closer to 50/50. AU and Bama are a lot closer to Atl though.

We can outbid on tickets because we don't have the travel expenses.

I guess so if you stayed at the Marquis.I imagine they clipped you pretty good.

You could save some serious cash if you stayed just a little bit outside the city.

How much was it?

Glad you and family/friends had a great time at the game. We were there too but not so great a time for us. LSU is the real deal this year. Good luck to them.

I live in Marriott hotels during the week because of work and have enough Marriott Points to basically live in any Marriott for a year. So I used points. So for me aside from Food and Beverage my only cost is tickets. hence I was willing to drop a few dollars on good seats since as discussed I have no airfare or hotel to pay for.
I used points again for the peach bowl same hotel.

My brother just booked there for the Peach Bowl and two nights is almost 900 bucks.

So many of the tickets are local that it would be hard for another team to get more than 40% if UGA is in.
