But his alters do. You'd be surprised what they bring to the board and make it out into general media land, picked up by parrots, then re-parrot the same information back on here weeks later.

You see the difference is he actually posts about Georgia sports every once in a while. It's a crazy concept here on the Georgia sports board. While all you do is complain about everyone here, cry about gifs and emoticons, bitch about the government and anyone that doesn't support anarchy, and gather troops for an e-revolution so that you can stroke your own inflated ego. You bring absolutely NO value to this board once the Hunger Games are over. None.

Get the frick out of my thread then a-hole!!!!!!!! And let the adults talk. With words. And thoughts.

Jesus.

Naw, I'm good. I'd still like a little insight on how I'm dependent on the government.

The main thing is ATL has a huge METRO population that insists on living 20-30 miles out of the city, but then making sure that there is not a well-planned, useful mass transit system for the whole region.

THEN they bitch and moan any time something goes wrong and causes the bad traffic to turn into a disaster.

Can train tracks freeze- sure, but they can also be de-iced, and in addition to the army of snow/ice removal trucks each city in the north has, they also have fairly efficient mass transit.

I don't speak for JD but I'll take a crack at it.

Do you, or do you not- think the problem could have been alleviated if the centralized leadership figureheads for the area, Reed and Deal, had called a press conference at 10am and said "Weather models have changed, people need to go ahead and leave work if you can, most of our equipment is deployed south of the city where the models showed the most significant event, as recently as last night. We can't guarantee that we will have all of the roadways clear once this starts coming down, please leave now. We also encourage all of the metro school systems to start making arrangements and start getting these kids home now, while the streets are still safe." ?

Jesus man. It was a joke. But you have ZERO sense of humor so I'm not surprised it went right over your head, hence the gif above.

As I mentioned before, the problem could have been alleviated, or merely lessened to an extent, if they had recommended people stay home from work/school all together. Telling everyone at 10 am wouldn't have changed shite because that's what caused the problem in the first place. Everyone left at once.

So its the mayors role to advise everyone that freezing temps and water make ice? And that Atlanta is prone to traffic?

If somebody is too stupid to watch the weather channel how are they going to get this msg from the govt? Twitter?

Help me with this logic...

Yes. It absolutely is the mayor's job. He's supposed to make decisions based on the best interest of the city and its people. Making a statement would have been in the best interest of the city and its people.

People that are smart enough to be in positions of power see the suggestion and decide to have their employees work from home or stay home completely.

I see.

Play it out for me more specifically, like I did in my 10 am scenario, how you think it should have gone down.
