I also see us with one loss through the last 5 games of the season. UF coming off a bye week in Jax, Missouri in Athens coming off a bye week, Auburn in Jordan-Hare coming off a bye week, Texas A&M in Athens, GT in Atlanta. The game in Auburn sets up to be a ambush game after probably wrapping up the East.
The key the the season for me is Upperclassman team leadership ala 2017, avoiding key injuries (Fromm most notably), and OC/DC in game and second half adjustments. LSU had a great game plan against us last year and the players to pull it off. I expect ND, UT, UF, and TA&M to all try something similar. I think Auburn is the only team that has the DL to do it, and UF has the secondary to try it. Those last 5 games are going to be a meat grinder and I am not sure we come out of it without one loss.
I also think we get over the Bama hump in the SEC championship game. We need two teams from the PAC/B1G/Big 12 to have a max of one loss with a conference championship so Bama can’t back door their way into the playoffs as a four seed.

It's a top 15 SOS and stop with the "average double digits" narrative...means nothing.
We have a 5 week guantlet at the end of the season with no breaks and 3 of our opponents either have an off week or a cupcake before they play us.
Injuries and depth will play a huge role in November especially on defense.

We lost 1 game last year during the regular season and much of the same will occur.
So, don’t get your arguments for the team to not have 0 or 1 loss at most.

Especially since we only will play 4 ranked teams all regular season.

6-6 for Tech is being pretty generous. I'm seeing a 4 win season.
2020 will probably be even worse. After that, I see it going back up. Recruiting has already seen an uptick with Collins pulling in more of the 5.6/5.7 rated 3-stars than Johnson did. It'll take at least 3 years of that kind of recruiting to get back to where we can beat most of the teams (not Clemson/UGA) on the schedule. No chance to beat the other 2 without several classes with an average rating of 3.5 stars or so.

The facts are pretty apparent if you get your head out of your arse...there is no gauntlet based on the current schedule. The teams we are playing are averaging double digit losses to us the past couple of years and we have beaten all of them twice in a row.
...And none of those teams you mentioned are on the upswing based on recruiting, talent, etc coming back/in.
