I'm looking forward to our future. Kirby f-ed up the fake punt. I'm sure he'll learn from his mistake. We are better off with Kirby than Richt for sure. Bama is fortunate to have won. We will persevere and take over the reigning champ.

GA is dominating the East and giving Bama all it wants. Watch some games from the 70s and 80’s (short of the HW years) or any of the Goff era before you complain about Kirby.
GA smoked Tenn, FL, Barn and GT. I’ve lived most of my life without that happening. Kirby has done it two years running. So, again, grow up. Enjoy what has been a great year.

The problem is most likely with me. I can’t enjoy Georgia football while we continue to choke and underperform. I wish I could compartmentalize, but I can’t.
The only thing that matters is how we stack up to bama, because they are the measuring stick.
Once again, the answer is we come up short, but that’s been the case longer than I’ve been alive.

Couldn't be prouder of this team. We were 13pt dogs headed into this game and no one gave us a chance to win. A few missed calls, a couple bad calls, some bad luck, and a couple confounding coaching decisions all went against us and we lost by 7.
This team is a straight up juggernaut in the making.
Also, having been in the game thread most of the game, I'm convinced there are plenty of fans on this board who enjoy bitching and moaning more than they wanting this team to win. After the FG miss and Hurts coming in, the number of grown arse men cowering in fear was fricking embarrassing. If you can't appreciate just how talented this team is and enjoy their growth year over year, growth which will inevitably lead to a Chip, then maybe you don't deserve to celebrate when they do win.

For the life of me I can't understand why people can't be happy with our program where it now, not content, but happy. We are better than basically what, 118 out of 120 other schools and are toe to toe with the top 1?
What's more we haven't even reached close to peaking yet. Nobody predicted we would be as good as we were until half-time of this game. Think about that. Half-time. Heck, I'm just like everyone else. I was hoping we wouldn't get embarrassed. Yeah, it hurts, but

Yes, we went toe-to-toe with the best team in the country who is in the middle of perhaps the greatest dynasty in CFB history.
But that's what makes the loss so tough - you don't know for certain how many chances you're gonna get at a game like this. There's no guarantee that we're even playing in this game next year.
Turnovers, injuries, freak plays, coaching gaffs etc. are all things that happen frequently in CFB that you just can't predict.

You do realize w/o Kirby’s recruiting for depth GA wouldn’t have been anywhere near the SEC championship game? In the Richt years the number of injuries on the line would have invariably led to another 8-5, 9-4 year.
I get the frustration, but this team is being built to win every year. Think about it, this was to be a down year. Last year came out of nowhere. Most fans have been point to next year as the year.

Georgia was not rebuilding this year. That is a cop out excuse for mid tier programs and I cringe when the rah rahs describe this season as a rebuilding year. UGA reloaded and will control reload under Kirby. We blew it again tonight but hopefully that is the last time.
