In the previous two years, Fromm has had to compete with highly talented QBs in practice to gain/keep the starting job. He had to work to beat out Eason and Fields.

This year I doubt he had as much motivation. Stetson Bennett was never gonna take his job. Perhaps Fromm decided he didn't need to work as hard in practice.

Once again, just a theory, I could be totally wrong, but I think it may have contributed.

Another theory is James Coley sucks as an offensive coordinator.

He's a slightly below average game manager. No one, and I repeat no one, is afraid of facing Jake Fromm. He isn't a game changer. It's not his fault that he lacks the physical tools, but that's reality. UGA fans have to stop making excuses for him and accept that he is what he is.

Our run game isn’t good. 1-2 yard runs up the middle from our genius playcallers ensure that Fromm will fail. Fromm is a game manager, not a light up the field kind of qb.

He is so scared he is going to throw a pick that it effects the rest of his passing game.

He has no confidence in the WRs and it effects his ability to play well. It like making a reactionary 3rd baseman play Shortstop. One is quick confident doesn't over think while he moves to short stop the ball takes longer to get there and he pulls his glove too soon or watches the runner and makes hurried throws that aren't natural.

My theory is that the previous two seasons Fromm was surrounded by depth at RB and WR that helped keep our offense balanced and we're lacking that this year.

Competition is a good thing.

Fromm and Tua both had guys chopping at their heals all year or were beat out in the case of Tua last 2...

This year, both programs were all in on QB1 and you see where they are

HOWEVER, I have a buddy that has attended practices last year and this year. The attention and on-field coaching Fromm is getting is night and day. He says no one was talking to Fromm during practice. Last 2 years, Chaney would coach him up. His fundamentals slipped yet no correction. Instead, Coley spent dedicated time with WRs. He says Hankton is not impressive as coach. He says offensive staff is quiet except for Hartley and high pitched Coley. He was impressed with defensive staff. Tray Scott stood out in how hard he coached DL. Chaney was the same.

We might need less “juice”(as players praised Coley for having) and more tough love through coaching

Fromm went to the Manning camp during the off-season

That is his problem

No.

It’s as simple as this: When he’s on a loaded team he’s good at not losing the game.

When there’s any deficiency he can’t win against an elite team.

He’s a game manager. He can’t manage a game unless everything is setup perfectly for him.

Isn't this generally true for almost all teams and QBs? When you play an elite team, you need to be firing on all cylinders in most if not all aspects of the game to win. It’s why those are considered elite teams; they are hard to beat.

Jake Fromm is shite. Accept it and move on.

How many more missed throws would it take for you to accept he’s regressed and is no longer a very good qb? He’s decent with capabilities of being “good” 1-2 games a year.

Compare the QB play from each team last night and get back to me.

You can say that we can’t expect Heisman-type qb play, but I think that’s a necessary component of championship football.

My theory...his position coach is Coley. That is what has changed from 2017 to 2018. The status quo at QB/QB coach is unacceptable. The regression at QB is undeniable. The fix is to bring in another QB coach/offensive coordinator AND bring in another QB that will give Fromm some immediate competition.

Almost all.

Having an elite dual threat qb can elevate a team in ways an unathletic, inaccurate game manager qb can’t.

Kirby chose the latter over the former.
