Nevermind Porter, his job as special assistant to the HC allows him to give out participation trophies.

Dan Marino, thank you for participating in the NFL for two decades. Sorry you never got it done.

Please tell me more about your qualifications to speak in absolutes about judging qbs and why only your opinion is the correct one.

I'm shocked you avoided giving us your qualifications to be the be all, end all on judging qbs.

Played Qb, worked with multiple QBs at the MS, HS level, sat thru hours of D1 Coaching sessions with young QBs, guys that worked with Teebow, Fromm, and several IIA kids. Been to countless 7 on 7s all over....

Helped take them from raw to high level players...

That's it.

For someone who played qb and coaches them up you sure do have a weird way of judging them. You are down playing their skill level and the things they do on the field when you say only championships matter.

Porter, you are the Georgia Way... You can't help it. It's who you are.

Cool. Let’s see if anyone agrees with you that championships are the only way to judge if a qb is any good.

Our only chance of beating Alabama, Clemson, or Ohio State is if Daniels is our QB. Even then, I'm not sure it would be enough.

Agree. What's fascinating is that some folks are rationalizing Bennett as though he is someone we would actually ever choose as the quarterback for a top five type of program, which is what UGA is certainly becoming (or would be right now with a franchise quarterback).

I realize that grandpas like the story of the small town kid who doesn't look the part but yet somehow takes his team to glory.

It's a fantasy. Bennett is damn good...for a guy who was the scout team QB. Otherwise, he's doing well because of talent around him. He would not be capable of taking a lesser team to greater heights.

If Stetson is still starting by end of this season, then it's going to look like Smart mismanaged another quarterback situation because of fear of giving development time to greater talents.

I think Stetson is saving our arse. I am thankful for him.

I blame Kirby more for letting Fromm leave than fields. Fields handlers made up their mind for him, Fromm royally screwed the pooch and will never see the field in the nfl, may have won a natty with us this year. You imagine these shitty defenses and someone with his skills.

Would have been fun to watch. Would have likely improved where he was drafted as well.

He missed his chance to be the King of Athens, to run the scout team in Buffalo, a miserable fricking shithole.

Looks can be deceiving.
