Dawgs decide to finally show some life in the 9th and score four runs but ultimately lose 6-5
0-4 on the week, first sweep suffered of the year. Worth noting that a Schunk missed yesterday and today with a sore Achilles. Hope this is just our slump but I’m worried teams with good arms have figured us out which can spell doom for the postseason.
33-12, 13-8.
Vandy takes a 2 game lead in the East and now leads the SEC with Arkansas a game back. Dawgs now in a 4 way tie for 3rd in conference.

tylerdurden24, thank you for all the updates. I've been mostly out of the loop with UGA baseball since I was in school in the late 2000s, and this thread has helped me keep up with them this season.

D1Baseball’s latest Field of 64 projections have the Dawgs as the #8 National Seed, hosting NC State, UC Irvine, and Harvard.
If we didn’t cake our pants, we would host a Super Regional for the winner of the East Carolina regional which will host Clemson, Auburn, and Campbell.

Dawgs have to win this weekend to maintain some control of postseason location.
More importantly, need to get hot this weekend. Next 9 conference games are very winnable and the goal now needs to be a top 4 seed in Hoover (conference championship likely an unlikelihood after last weekend but can still get that first round bye for the SEC tourney). Bats need to wake up and staff needs to return to form.
Most of all, frick Florida and their syphillitic fanbase

Agreed. I'm hoping Hancock doesn't have a lingering injury. I know they say it's just soreness, but it's been two weeks now. We definitely need him for the post season, so I am fine with him sitting, just hoping it's nothing major.

Pretty sure when it was announced he wasn't pitching in Starkville they said he'd miss 2 weeks.
