Nope, I am upbeat as ever. Very proud of what UGA has done thus far this year. Excited to see them continue, one game at a time. Doesn't take away from the fact that the great play we had against Missouri last year was not a classic

Classic or not, it was a well executed game winning TD pass.

not at all what i said...i actually said it was a great play....
ok, but because they used the word classic then, makes them a pussy? Big difference. /s

Like game winning drives that end with a TD pass on 4th down aren't instant classics. That moment was amazing, regardless of records of either team, fig.

What is your definition of classic? What criteria does a play need to meet in order to be a classic? Can you give some examples of what you would consider classic plays?

Was the UT throw a classic as well?

Did I call it a classic play? No. I called it clutch, because it was. It was a true freshman QB on the road making good plays to move his team 80 yards down the field on a game winning TD drive. If Eason can win the job back and go on to have a prolific career, then I think it will be a classic play due to it being a defining moment early in his development.

A classic play is one that will stand the test of time. Forever memorable to all of Dawg nation, both new and old fans. Plays that lit up the big screen during he Munson monologue. Butler, Haynes, Hershel, Run Lindsey Run, Johnson TD vs Auburn, etc.

The play has to not only be magnificent, but against a team worth a shite, during a season when it becomes meaningful to the full season.

Every great play or well executed play or game winning play is not a classic.

UT play would've been a classic had we won the game and finished out the season with contention for the SEC.

Again, the pass was great and well executed. I went crazy cause it's UGA....but there was 1:30 left or whatever, it helped us beat a team that finished 4-8, during a season when we went 7-5. I don't count Chubbs run on 3rd and 3 against Nichols State as a classic, even though it won us the game and was well executed.

Not worked up at all. Just responded to comments and questions asked of me. Why would I get worked up about something like this?

PS - Missouri was driving on the next possession and Lock was moving when (I think) Sanders stripped the ball on our side of the field with like a minute to go, when all they needed was a FG...wouldn't call that a classic either but a phenomenal play.

So...kind of by your own criteria, the hobnail boot game was not a classic play...I mean, we were only 8-4 that season, had already broken the streak against UT the year before, and we won nothing of any significance in 2001...hell, I think we even lost to USC and lost the Music City Bowl to BC. Clearly, the hobnail boot, following your own logic, is not a classic play.

Is that a play that will stand the test of time and be shown to all Dawg fans new and old for decades to come? Would it be on a "munson-like" monologue video played before games in 20 years?

Maybe not, but its light years ahead of that play last year

So what was the last classic throw(s) and catches? AJ catching the overthrow at Colorado when we got our add beat while being a clear favorite?

The Eason throw will stand the test of time. It was just as significant accomplishment-wise as the hobnail boot. Munson is the only difference. You are setting yourself up to eliminate any play not called by Munson which is patently ridiculous.
