Guyton is far from a lost cause.

Atkinson and Terry hurt, but we may not miss them quite as much as we think.

I think we should go after Griffin with everything we have. I have no confidence we’re gonna sign Atkinson. The main reason — Grayson HS

My post from mid-May, looks like neither worked out

Qb aside

Any must gets from this class that we got?

I mean we needed a QB more than we needed an ILB and we got Curtis so yes.

I swear the anticipation for these things kills me more than the actual commitment. Now that it’s official I still maintain he’ll be really good and I wish he was ours but we’ll be fine. Onward.

Even without Atkinson, if we remove the two kickers, our average score on On3 is the third highest even with 29 commitments.

What position would you say is a "Must get"? And, typically, teams do not expect a true freshman to come in and contribute immediately, so you look at the positions as 2-3 years down the line.

But, to the original question....what position would you consider a position of need...or a "must get"?

This is an honest question, so we can talk along the same lines.

I have my own idea of what we need to absolutely get...but so we can talk, what positions do you consider?

We did James Johnson to TX and a mushroom stamp on our forehead

I really like James Johnson and a few pieces in this class. Johnson reminds me of Brown from AU. I suspect he’ll climb up the rankings big time. If and when that happens, we better be ready to fight like hell.

Get ready for fricking war Kirby!

It’s funny how some of the NFL dudes cried modern day slavery but the college guys just run towards the money like whores.

Literally still posting. I won’t lie, today actually pissed me off. Normally it is kind of like an underlying we will be fine type of message (we will). But what the actual frick?

What is the answer here, I mean. JFC we have all the way to December for the rest of our class to get offered.

I agree. Today turned me off to relationship sales. Price wins in the modern market. Have a good one.

Open the fricking war chest or invest your time on 2nd tier players. Those are the options.

I love Brooks Austin but I think he and all these other ppl totally missed the mark with this salary cap and Deloitte thing. Sure the school now has a salary cap, but it’ll never go back to how it was before when “money would exchange hands from bagmen and everyone was offering close to the same amount”. These boosters have seen first hand now what their influence does and it’s probably even worse because now the school is on the hook for the base salary. Texas has more money than us. Unless Deloitte is able to crack down like the old days NCAA nothing will change.

If the plan is win a title or be in contention for a title every 4 years, then we’re on track. If it’s win a title now and attract ELITE talent, then we’re being bitch slapped ATM.

I don't think it's to be in contention every 4 years, but we are getting slapped around at the moment.
