Yea, I think there is a very very small chance they get the game in tonight.

The camera work on the walkoff HR was atrocious. We literally never saw the ball at all; Dantzler had to tell us it was gone and the game was over.

Kolby Branch launched two different HRs over the batters eye in game 1 today, one of them being a grand slam

I know we have played scrubs, but he's got to be close to Condons pace at this point
Posted on 3/8/26 at 3:17 pm to Wwarmouth
He’s definitely close to his pace but Charlie and the benefit of proving he could do it consistently vs SEC pitching as a redshirt freshman. Dan still has something to prove in that regard

Kolby hits his 8th of the year, Brennan Hudson hits his 10th. 5-2 Dawgs

Dan Jackson with the walk off grand slam in the 7th, his D1 leading 14th HR of the year and 32nd RBI.
Dawgs win 14-3, sweep Queens
Tennessee on Friday night. Hoping we see Ishikawa, prognosis seems o be very positive; he has been getting some cage work in

Wes confirmed Ishikawa is back, was supposed to throw yesterday but didn’t want to risk anything with the rain. He will play this weekend vs Tennessee

Latest rankings update heading into the SEC slate has us in a good spot:
Perfect Game: 8
D1Baseball: 8
Baseball America: 6
Florida lost a home series to High Point (were 3 outs away from being swept), LSU lost a home series to Sacramento State and went 1-4 on the week, Tennessee dropped a game to Wright state after winning the first two by only 1 run apiece, Arkansas dropped a game to Stetson, Vandy dropped a game to NDSU and is now 10-7 on the year.
Sitting at 15-3 and prognosticating the future schedule, I’m going to guess the following:
- we go 16-14 in SEC play (11-4 at home, 5-10 on the road)
- we go 6-1 vs our remaining non-conference (loss to Tech)
- finish regular season at 37-18
- should be enough for at least a Regional host, may need some help for a national seed

Seems completely reasonable. It will be interested to see early in SEC play how other teams are doing. Some shocking results the last couple weeks around the league, particularly LSU
Tech is crushing it and will likely handle us in the 1 game we play them. Sad they went away from the home/home/Gwinnett format
Excited to see how we do vs a decent Tennessee team this weekend.
Go Dawgs

For a comparison point, last year we went 42-14 (18-12) in the regular season. Sweeping Auburn at home and Florida on the road early in the season gave us a pretty big lift and while we got swept at Vandy and Texas, both were high ranking national seeds so it didn’t hurt too bad in the end.
They look solid but they’ve also yet to play a Q1 team (we at least played a Q1 in Wright state and went 2-1). If not for playing Va Tech this past weekend to open conference play (went 2-1), their SOS coming into the weekend was 221 (our similarly sits at 237). All to say, neither of us hve actually shown who we really are due to a lack of quality competition. Bout to find out in a hurry if either of us are for real.

Also worth noting:
Dan Jackson is on pace to be the first ever 30/30 player in college baseball history.
Has 14 HR and 10 SB in 18 games. On pace for 47 HRs and 31 SB. Obviously he’s not going to hit that HR number as competition stiffens but he could def break 30 and the SBs are kind of a crapshoot (he’s definitely fast enough)
