If my math is correct, I believe we now have a 2.5 game lead on both A&M and Texas. Meanwhile, Auburn series is shaping up to be one of the biggest we’ve played in a while; may end up being a 3 game tilt for the SEC title

that's correct. It's always fun coming down the stretch of the season in any sport to do the math and figure out rooting scenarios, and yesterday almost couldn't have been any better for us. ATM and Texas were both nipping at our heels and not only have we gone 2-0 but they've stumbled. Looking at the rest of our main competition's seasons you've got:
UGA
LSU
@ Auburn
Texas A&M
@ Ole Miss
MSU
Texas
@ Tennessee
Missouri
Auburn
@ MSU
UGA
Mississippi State is going to be our best ally these next few series. But as you said...it's entirely possible we could be playing at Auburn with both teams battling to win the league. Gotta say I wouldn't be a huge fan if that were to play out.

So with 6 games left, here’s where things stand:
1. UGA (18-6)
vs LSU
@ #6 Auburn
T2. Texas A&M (15-8) | 2.5 GB
@ #20 Ole Miss
#11 MSU
T2. Texas (15-8) | 2.5 GB
@ Tennessee
vs Missouri
T3. Auburn (14-10) | 4 GB
@ #11 MSU
#5 UGA
T3. MSU (14-10) | 4 GB
vs #6 Auburn
@ #9 A&M
Basically, if we sweep LSU we have all but won the SEC title - though technically Texas could sweep both Tennessee and Mizzou and A&M sweep Auburn and Ole Miss to end half a game ahead as a result of playing one less game this season.
If we take 2/3 vs LSU, we just need Texas or A&M to lose at least 1 game this weekend. If either lose their series this weekend, they’re out of the race.
Auburn and Miss St are hovering in the periphery but have no shot if we sweep LSU. Losing a game gives them a chance, losing the LSU series puts everything on the Auburn series next weekend.

Top 5 remain unchanged in D1 rankings. Auburn moved up to #6
Shocked we didn’t go ahead of Texas, but it’s all good.

Allen out for the rest of the season confirmed.

Absolutely sucks. But we can replace Allen in the lineup more than we can afford to lose someone like Vigue. So while it’s a loss, it doesn’t tank the season. Hope he recovers and comes back next season same as this year; one of the better debut seasons from a Georgia player
