Kirby apparently about to throw some $$$ at JuJu… I thought that ship sailed but he’s apparently visiting and we’ve been in contact.

We offered the Mississippi State QB commit and by God. Want. 6’4” 210. Very dual threat. Would love to have him. Kamario Taylor.

Yeah... I think the days of the prototypical QB might be coming to an end in Athens. Hopefully (fingers crossed) Kirby is adapting and wanting to move to a dual threat. Judging by the offers and the communication with these recruits, it certainly looks that way.

I hope so. You’d think a top 10 program like Georgia could consistently land a top tier dual threat qb. It feels like todays game you’re just handcuffing yourself and refusing to use all the offensive advantages in the rules by not having at least a Stetty Bennet level qb.

Think we’re losing Gibson. He’s had some weird post on X yesterday and today.

Possibility yes. But one post was just Saturdays time and date of our game against UT so maybe he’s attending?

He was going to be a weird fit anyways. He’s athletic enough to do it but he’s a big guy already in high school to play jack for us but he might not want to play 5 tech d end. I’d love to keep him. Talent is talent.

Buzz on SoFl site is that Kirby is making a big push for offensive talent in high school and portal. Including a QB that a huge NIL.pscksge is being put together and this would be a player that would immediately be at a different level than anyone else in the room.

Said Gunner will be starting but this mysterious QB is #different.

Take with a grain of salt of course. Wouldn't say name and said nothing is final. But a good sign that Kirby knows our offensive talent needs a big upgrade and is course correcting.

Can Coleman was mentioned as a portal target fwiw

I fully hope that’s true. From what I’ve seen of Gunnar he’s not good enough as a passer and he’s not athletic enough to be a huge run help. Rashada idk. Puglisi was always a traitsy project.

I’m not saying he can’t be a productive QB. But we are essentially in a national championship race every season and I do not think he’s good enough to get us to that level without a really excellent supporting cast. Jmho

Didn't stop Beck from winning the starting job.

I get that but too much $$$ talking right now. Kirby is about to make some moves this cycle.

Good. We need to completely overhaul the offense, IMO. BoboBall isn't what won championships.

I’m betting we flip JuJu as some point. It’s leaning that way…

I’d tend to agree somewhat. But idc who the QB was this year, with the performance of and departures (legal issues or otherwise) at receiver and the deterioration of the OL, it’s not like it would be worlds better. This year was a result of misses in recruiting and transfers and some bad injury luck. Considering we are a “Have” team, the portal should be a benefit to address these issues faster than would have previously been possible. But the portal is mostly a money grab or playing time grab so we have to be willing to pony up as has been said.

His NIL ask is insane and his dad is a problem, but the smoke is there. Would be a big signal shift if he we get juju
