What was our record through 40 games last year? I bet not 30-10. Call me crazy but that’s still SOOOOOOOOO much better than the Strickland years and like you said, all it takes is a little momentum. I don’t think we’re dead quite yet.

Oh we are light years better off than we were. Only disappointment is that we seemingly squandered the momentum from Arkansas/Tech.

But I also said a little over a week ago:

quote:

Going to guess we split the Tech and Clemson games, take KSU, take the Vandy series, take Oklahoma series, lose the Bama series, sweep Mizzou, take A&M series.

Puts us at 44-12, 20-10 for the regular season which will absolutely have us as a Top 8 seed and possibly a top 4 in Hoover

We split the Tech/Clemson series, lost Vandy. We are still on pace for a 43-13, 19-11 finish if we do what we are capable of doing. Really comes down to winning Bama 2/3 on the road which is much more gettable than Vandy was with its pitching staff. I just figured Vandy’s lesser offense and our momentum would carry us against their staff in Nashville and it just didn’t happen.

Vandy had better pitching. Wes just needs time to get some aces in here

2-0 bad guys after 2. We are good at hitting into dbl plays to end the innings.

2-1 Sooners Bottom of the 5th

Curley at 92 pitches through 5 full but other than the HR has kept us alive in this thing

Witherspoon for OU only at 51 pitches

Obee strikes out looking with Phelps and Hunter on 3rd and 2nd

Good news is we managed to drive the pitch count up on Witherspoon to 72

Bad news is it doesn’t matter because we’re only gonna end up with 1 fricking run in this game.

2-1 Sooners through 5

This team is so frustrating. They are currently shitting themselves.

This team might actually be done for the season. Just completely incapable of doing anything right anymore.

5-1 Sooners in the 6th after Quinn gives up a leadoff double, Zabo boots a routine grounder at first, we fail to turn a would-be double play, and the. OU launches one

Dear Wes.

Hammer home that high fastballs are empty strikes. We are complete suckers for them....

Damn it, we can’t hit. We aren’t seeing anything special after their starter. Swing and miss, looking at strikes. Defense is below average. Not a good combo for post season play.

Looked to me Branch had two home runs called foul. I thought in baseball it was what side of the foul pole. Both looked fair
