I’m afraid Woods is done for the year. I’m also ready for Collins to shite or get off the pot. He has the only swing on team that looks like a professional hitter, but only uses it to strike out at an alarming rate and fade in conference play.

Well, the good news is we showed a ton of fight throughout the entirety of this game. If you’re wanting to remain optimistic for the year, we seem to be showing a postseason mentality so that’s something.
Bad news is 1. We lost 11-9 and 2. Our bullpen is going to get us bounced early from a Regional regardless of whether we play in Athens or somewhere else. We just are who we are: above average at the plate and mediocre between Cannon and Gowen. And with Wagner seemingly hurt for at least the near future if not longer, more stress just got put on the bullpen.
Hope we can take at least 1 this weekend but umps have done/will do us no favors and Vandy is frankly a better version of who we are (how they haven’t done more this season is a mystery to me)

Never been to a Dawgs BB game. I've got to get up there for one. 20 months away from retirement, it's on the list to do after that...

13-7 the final after we trailed 4-1 through 3. Again, liking the fight in seeing out of this team and guys like Acton and Gonzo are finding big ways to contribute at the plate.
Cannon had a bad inning but threw 110 pitches across 7 innings and made it possible for the offense to explode like it did by keeping our bullpen on the bench. Once Marsh and DeJong came in… well, we got the win.
Huge rubber match tomorrow with Sully on the bump and Gowen still fresh to throw multiple innings if needed!
