Gowen closes it out and snaps a 5 game losing streak to Southern
Woods legitimately looked like our second best pitcher in staff behind Cannon. Marsh had a decent if not solid outing for a freshman. Caldwell and Gowen were clutch in the final innings.
Bats disappeared again late and we left 12 on base in total.
We welcome in a 9-4 Lipscomb team riding a 5 game win streak this weekend for a cold series. I’ll reiterate: someone needs to step the frick up, at the plate and on the mound.

Stricklin confirms that Dylan Ross is done for the year.
Childers they will find out on this morning but doesn’t anticipate him being back anytime soon.
McCallister had two small fractures in his face but may play with a mask this weekend and should be back by next Tuesday at latest. Dodged a bullet there.

I can’t take all these LOB….I don’t even want to know the total for the season. Feel like we did that a lot last year too

For the record, we are 10th in the SEC in Batting Avg (.291), Slugging (.459), Runs (81), and RBI (76).
Ahead of South Carolina, Arkansas, MSU, and A&M in BA and Slugging, swap Bama for MSU in Runs and RBI.
So it could be worse but not by much.

It's at least of mild concern right now for sure. Appreciate you being the conduit for all things DiamondDawgs for myself at least.

Happy to keep the energy up, especially early in the season when things maybe aren’t all that interesting to the casual fan.
Today alone we’ve stranded 9 despite scoring 6. For reference, we are 8th in the SEC in OBP (.396) so actually doing pretty well at at the plate except for when it comes time to drive in runs
