Last year we were 5-8 heading into the SEC schedule with losses to wofford, ETSU, and gardner webb. 0-2 in the tourney we played in (albeit to good teams).
This year so far we are 4-1 with no bad losses and playing in the finals of this early season tourney.
I know it's SUPER early and you can't really judge much just based on such a small sample size, but man this certainly feels and looks better than last year. Not saying we're going dancing or anythign but the effor and especially DEFENSE is something that's great to see.

UAB is #41 on Torvik and #46 on Kenpom. This would be a huge win

Dawgs lead UAB 42-41 at the half. Once again, letting teams come back and hang around. We are clearly better than UAB. Hopefully we can put them away in 2nd half. Still encouraged by the improvement of the offense in consecutive games. Defense has been ELITE.

Dawgs lose 87-73 to UAB. 4-2 on the season. Not terrible. No bad losses so far. The offense disappeared in the 2nd half. We play ETSU next. Revenge game to make up for last year’s embarrassment.
