2020 Tailgating Adjustments

I tailgate home games and then attend most of them, or go DT to watch at a pub. Considering that attendance at games this year will be limited, and bars may also have new limits, I am thinking I will get a generator and TV and watch at the tailgate.
Anyone else changing their routine this year? Any recommendations on a quiet generator? I see a used Generac for sale, but can't find much on how quiet it is. I have seen some really quiet ones at other tailgaters tents, but have never paid attention to the brand.
Thanks in advance.

I am sure it will be arbitrary and unenforceable what ever they decide. Even if you put 45,000 in Sanford what are you preventing? I say all or nothing, vaccine is way off and Hurd immunity is all we got(if it is actually a thing with the scurge)
Honda or any inverter style generator is what you need.

Either the predator 2000 or 3500 inverter generator from Harbor Freight. Super quiet and much less expensive than a comparable Honda. They get great reviews. I have one of each, a 2000 for tailgating purposes and a 3500 for boondocking in camper and power outages at home to keep fridge, tv and a coupla lights on. You can connect the 2000's in parallel for 4000 watts of power if needed.
Get extended warranty from Harbor Freight.

I’ll look at the brand name but we used a generator we bought from Costco at a decent price last year and it ran like a charm. Used YoutubeTV, a Chromecast, and a WiFi hotspot off a cellphone that worked well other than a slight delay relative to a satellite feed (if you’re looking for cheaper alternatives).

Thanks. I just ditched Dish and went to Youtube TV a couple of months ago. And I have a Mifi from my work, so I should be set once I get the generator and TV. Dallas, I will check those out. TD, let me now what you have.

I think Costco carry's Champion or maybe Wen.
Main thing is get an inverter gen instead of a cheap construction gen. They don't work well with electronics and are loud as frick...

Just pick up your Class C RV on 316 at Lightnin' Rentals with built in quiet generator and have a private bathroom, hotel room, kitchen, shower, etc etc. Better book now.

I rented mine for first weekend in May, first time RV'ing, I'm hooked, already booked my Class C for October trip.
But damn I would never ever want to own one.

Looks like the Harbor Frieght Predator 200 is around $480. Looks like it could be a winner.

It's probably safe to change out of the Simmons jersey now.

quiet generator?
Honda Inverter...only way to go. I don't think there is a quieter one available although the ones that Harbor Freight sells are close and they are about 1/3 the price.
And a dish network tailgate setup. Automatically finds satellite and will work almost anywhere as long as the SW sky isn't completely blocked by something...

My tailgating will consist of setting up the motorhome near the dock blind or in the western rockies, the cascades or the blue mountains if the trout bite is on. At least one weekend will be the same setup about 300 miles NE of Spokane goose hunting...life is hard!

Why are you so angry today?
Just a guess, but I'd day the honeymoon stage in the marriage is starting to wear off.
Hang in there WG, I'd say it gets better... but I like you too much to lie to you.
