So Zac Evan’s teammate just committed to Bama, with suppose to be a package deal we will see how that plays out

Feel like people say this all the time. Evans might go to Bama, but he wouldn’t go there because George is committed to the Tide.

Not saying he would go there just because George is going there, but they are one of his finals schools. It definitely didn’t hurt their chances

This makes bama the clear favorite for sure.

Can’t tell if you’re being serious or not.

Far from a done deal, but feels safe to say Bama is the leader as of today.

Frankly, if it comes down to Braun for the last OL spot, I would strongly consider taking George instead. Doubt either ever become multi year starters based on what I’ve seen.

The Big Dawgs go where they want. These "package deals" don't typically pan out. What's odd is George isn't a take for us (is that correct?) but is for Bama?

Offers are fluid. Someone on the croot board was saying he's had a rough spring and rankings doing as a result. Until proven wrong, I'll trust Pittman's judgement on the line regardless of how it impacts RB recruiting.

ETA:

He's down over 500 spots in the 247 rankings:

Ok... I’ll play along... After Pittman puts 1-2 1st round draft picks in the NFL... Does it really matter? I’ve learned to keep my fricking mouth shut when it comes to Kirby and recruiting. Kirby gets who he wants. Again... we win big this year this conversation will be irrelevant. I fully trust Pittboss as the prime recruiter in all of CFB. What he says goes.... Yesssssirrrrrr

... Not sure you are following along here. We *care* about the RB... we don't, nor should we at this time, care about the 3* OT that people are claiming is a package deal...

Package deals are generally not real... Sometimes kids end up at the same program, but VERY rarely does kid 2 pick a school because kid 1 is also going there... Much more likely to see a kid follow someone to a school in subsequent classes (see: Andrew Thomas > Jamaree Salyer for example). In that case, Kid 1 actually has a year's experience and development to describe and sell Kid 2 on...

Yea I don’t recall any recruits that claimed to be a package deal to actually end up at the same school

What are yall hearing on Braun the OT out of Florida, I've heard it likely an SC and UGA decision. I know he'll be in Athens this weekend for an OV, just curious on what yall have heard.

Braun is much better than George. So are the other OL we are after.

I know Boom has an in with Brauns father, since Brauns dad played college ball with Booms brother. I really like braun but Pittman is tough to recruit against.

Our OL spots are limited right now, so its hard to know who they will push for and accept a commit from.

If Braun picks USC, then you guys would be on fire right now. What did Champ put in the water?

+1 on limited OL spots... Back when Tate committed, he seemed really big on trying to recruit Braun personally... Since then, some bigger named OL recruits have been on campus and insiders seem to be indicating there is more to those than just "fun visits"... so who knows where Braun is on the board relative to all the other suitors for what likely amounts to only one more open slot... let alone our respective odds with each of them... I do think Pittman is higher on Braun than the recruiting services, though I can't say I 100% understand why... I just know that in a contest for evaluating OL talent, I would bet on Pittman over myself all day every day, so I'll just see myself out of that equation.
