24 has been the number for a while as far as I have heard. I leave the high level maths to others.
I do, too!

At one time they were saying 22, but with some attrition, I've been seeing/hearing more along the lines of 24-25. Last year, I think we were all surprised when we signed 26, though, so we know the numbers are always fluid.

That's it! I was forgetting about Stevenson. As for Mikeboss's concerns...I have been hearing a bit about the kid South Carolina is wanting, but it was more along the lines of him and a couple of other kids to fill that last slot. Have not heard anything overly solid.
Man, thta's some really good players for the secondary, though. Really hoping we reel in Stevenson, though. He and Cine are two of my favorites.

I can't find anything. I was looking around because i had heard he was, but it is all a big secret, apparently. If he did, he may have blown his chances with Georgia.

Haven't really heard/seen anything. Just saw that the 3 guys were not going to be suiting up. Seems likely to be something that they all had a hand in given the timing, but that's just speculation.
Anything you can share in regards to the rumors? Can float it past a few peeps.

Crisp has had some drama going all the way back to Shelton Felton leaving to go on staff at Auburn with Big Kat, then not ending up there but still jumping to college ranks.
Have heard that it was a significant culture change under the new staff and that boiled over in a recent incident leading to Robinson and two others leaving the team.
Don't have any specifics. I think Jammie was a plan B guy in the secondary anyway, so we will see how it pans out.

With a little message board digging, it sounds like a fallout between the players and the coaching staff. Players were doing their own stuff, coach finally pulled the trigger and booted a bunch of them.
Could be totally wrong, but that's the chatter.

This sounds more likely than what i heard.

My understanding was Jammie left Crisp on his own free will. He did not get kicked out. Could be wrong by but my brother is very familiar with the coaching staff.
I know Jammie is NOT a plan B guy, he’s a take 100%. I hate to use the phrase “pound for pound”, but he might be the best football player in the entire state. He doesn’t camp so his ranking will never rise. I think he goes to SCAR, but UGA is still a threat.

I’m not sure what he would play for UGA. Reminds me of Malkom Parrish physically. Obviously Parrish played a lot, but I’m not sure that type has much of a role under Smart going forward

Is it safe to say that if Walker goes as expected that Dean becomes the next primary target on the radar?
Posted on 7/23/18 at 8:17 pm to BranchDawg
I’d say there are lots of primary targets still. Any of the RBs, another DL, Rian Davis, Jermaine Johnson, Cine, Stevenson, Elam, DJ Daniel, Owen Pappoe, etc. It’s pretty early to declare a primary target.

I tried to warn you guys that something fricky was going on at Marietta. They are vacating all of last seasons wins.
They're recruiting almost as well as UGA

I hear you. I just think there are numerous others I would put before him.

I see your point of view, but Parrish was an undersized 5”8 CB. I see Robinson as a rangy safety. Smart loves guys who can cover the backend of the D. Jammie will be bigger than Lecounte and Reed in college, and both will be starters at safety in 2018

Should be a take then. I thought Parrish was a solid until he got hurt, then he was never the same

Robinson is listed at 5'11" 180 on 247, which is typically an overestimation. Reed is almost certainly bigger, and LeCounte was a much more highly thought of player as a prospect.
I think Robinson is a good player but no way would I take him over any of Perry, Daniel, Cine, Stevenson, Booth, Elam etc.
