A DL class with Norton, Walker, and Hunter would be a-okay with me, we just need to add a true 0- tech, too
Not worried after FSU goes 6-6, 7-5 and we go back to the playoff

AJC article on Burroughs and Truss
quote:
-Burroughs said UGA is his outright leader. He placed Clemson as his No. 2 school. Alabama is also among his top group.
-He estimated that he has been to Georgia “30 times” since he became a recruiting target leaving middle school.
-UGA running backs coach Dell McGee has been one of his lead recruiters, along with defensive line coach Tray Scott.
-The 4-star DT referred to former McEachern U.S. Army All-American and Georgia junior DL Julian Rochester as his “big brother” of sorts.
-He said he believes that Tyler Simmons, another McEachern product, was not offside for Georgia in the National Championship Game in January against Alabama.

Got me all excited and then I read "2020".
Either way, we are Georgia....we don't have much to complain about so nitpicking the DT position is petty.

Somebody tell me about Jermaine Johnson, 6’6 240 WDE JUCO we are cb favorites for. Add 20 pounds and he would seem to be a freak in the rotation.
Posted on 6/20/18 at 8:37 pm to DawgRff
From what I read on him: He’s got long arms. Already a freak athlete. Gonna be used as a pass rusher off the edge. As you said, add 20-30 lbs and the sky is the limit.

AJC Article on 2020 prospect Lejond Cavazos. DB from IMG
-He’s a two-sport athlete and an accomplished hurdler. He’s clocked a 7.93 in the 60-meter hurdles and a 13.80 at 110 meters. Those are special high school times for a prep hurdler, but he’s a football player first.
-Cavazos wasn’t healthy this year at Nike’s The Opening regional. He still posted a 4.56 laser time in the 40 with a 43-inch vertical and a power ball toss of 37 feet. His hamstring limited him to a 4.39 in the pro agility shuttle. He clocked a verified time of 4.03 seconds in that 5-10-5 at an earlier showing.
-It meant a Sparq rating of 115.08. That’s in the 99th percentile of all tested athletes. It was good for 46th overall this cycle. It rates as the fifth-best showing beyond the 2019 class.
-Can he play? The fact he started last year (two games) for IMG Academy and will start this year satisfies that curiosity.
-When he worked out for Georgia and Ohio State last week, both programs saw him as a cornerback first and a do-it-all defensive back second. Both staffs halted his workout early because they didn’t need to see any more.

AJC article on Arik Gilber. Ath from Marietta
“It is a good school,” Gilbert said. “I really like it. That was my first offer and I know I always say that. But I was really impressed by how they saw me first and felt strongly enough about me to offer first and all that.”
The article also talks about Harrison Bailey and how UGA is not really calling him much.
There are a couple of other tidbits in there too about a few other recruits.

not to reopen old wounds but d-rob is transferring from cal, anyone think we make another run at him?
Posted on 6/21/18 at 12:00 pm to 3morereps
UGA will make a play for DROB but Bama is probably the team to watch. I’m more curious as to why he’s transferring. I know he was injured last year but he’s a legit NFL prospect with only 1 year remaining

I get what you’re saying but I was thinking in terms of declaring for the NFL draft. He’ll probably get a injury redshirt so he’ll be a RS-Soph next season.
One interesting twist is if it’s truly family related, he could submit a hardship exception. If approved by the NCAA, he could play in 2018.

I'm gonna stay on top of this until he declares.

If its a family medical situation wouldn't UGA be closer to his family home?
Posted on 6/22/18 at 10:39 am to Prettyboy Floyd
Not sure why Bama would be the team to watch...
-None of the coaches (other than saban) that recruited him are still there
-Bama has much less playing time available at WR in 2019
-UGA is significantly closer to home
-Kirby and Schumann are his closest coaching relationships
From everything I've read and from talking to a few people, I think he ends up a Dawg.
Haselwood, Blaylock, Robertson...That's a hell of a WR haul for 2019
