Think I read somewhere we are 5 over our allotted scholarships and I know we are still recruiting.

Kirby is going to process some guys. Fields, Ford and Gibbs are all but gone. Guys like Speed, Young and Brini could be encouraged to look elsewhere. They’ll find room for at least two more guys.

I thought Brini was already processed. I thought Speed was going to be a heck of a player. Then again I thought the same thing about Gibbs.

Speed has been injured all year. Don’t think he is a transfer/med candidate though.

Stevenson has signed his LOI. The latest update from 247 Miami was slanted heavily towards the U. According to their writer, Rique was bored on his official to UGA and said there is nothing to do in Athens. Also, the racist baseball player made him reconsider UGA. Rusty and Kipp haven’t said a word about him since ESD, so who knows. He could be trolling his hometown team hard

Glory's post seemed like sarcasm to me. Who knows. I had come to believe we would get Sanders and not Dean on signing day. I also came to believe Dean was going to Ole Miss in the hours leading up to his decision.
I'm not an insider when it comes to recruiting, but it is a fickle bitch. I'm not going to be convinced on anything until he signs.
As for Elam, it's hard to see him going anywhere other than Florida. Maybe we get lucky and he is one of those guys who wants to establish his own legacy.

It's a lazy hire to me because it's obvious Miami is cheap. I've not seen anything that convinces me he is anything other than a competent DC. As for recruits, many Miami fans on a few boards say he's not a great recruiter. Hiring coaches based on player emotions also rarely works out.
We'll see, but this wouldn't excite me at all if I was a Miami fan.
