Good to hear.

I saw that. Nice touch by UGA. Pulling on the heart strings by recognizing his late friend. Brilliant move by Kirby and staff

Shawn Williams
quote:Dude was a 5th round pick and became one of the best safeties in the league quickly, kind of shows that he was misused/not well coached in Athens imo
Reshad Jones,

Does Ogletree count?

I’m not giving Willie credit for Williams and Ogletree, nor Thomas Davis, both Ogletree and Davis weren’t/arent DB’s in the NFL.
The reason so am specifying Willie is because he is apparently on CMRs list for DC. If he’s the choice CMR makes, there will be a lack of development at DB as that is Willies “specialty”. If CMR makes a different choice, the odds of making the league may be better.
Honestly, I think it’s a stretch to use Sean Jones as an example. He’s my favorite player from that era other than Pollack, but I think Reshad Jones is the best example you could have used.
Edit: Not really recruiting related anymore after we deviated from Stevenson, so I’ll stand aside to allow the waves of glorious recruiting news wash over us the next few days.

That's all fair, I didn't see the slash part and was just naming DBs in the league from the Richt era. Obviously, I don't think Martinez was a good coach by any stretch of the word but I don't think that Stevenson won't make it to the league because he's coached by CMR/CWM.

Coming into signing week, I expect:
Sanders
Dean
Haselwood
Stevenson
To be Dawgs. Also think we hold on to all current commits.
My main remaining question is what happens at offensive tackle, since I don’t currently see us landing Neal or Wright.

Who could complain about that? That would be a monstrous close. I hope you're right.

An Insider on another site said that Haselwood confirmed to the staff this weekend that he is a Dawg.

Where did you hear / read that?

>sanders
so does that mean we are booting out kenny?
there are not enough carries to go around unless holyfield goes pro and herrien transfers
and even then there is still zeus/swift/cook/kenny/hudson

Some of the really heavy hitter "insiders" are popping on one site that Dean is a Dawg and so is Sanders.

Keeping McIntosh.
Holyfield likely nfl bound. Herrien looking to grad transfer. Prather Hudson is a good kid but is not a factor in our rotation.

Very reliable posters. One of them from Mississippi says Dean is a Dawg and that him and his family have been sold on the Dawgs for a while now.

Works for me.

If all these are true, would seem Kirby wanted to know as many as possible tonight so he can make moves on last 1-2 spots and focus in.

Got to imagine the staff wants to follow last years blue print. Get 20-22 in on ESD and spend the time until February focused in on a handful of guys for the last spots.
Also allows them to continue building 2020, which looks to be another all timer as far as classes go.
