Any recruiting updates? Been a quiet few days.

We only have a few targets left. All high profile. Most are focusing on high school season and won't announce for a while.
We are in very good shape for:
Lewis Cine
Tyrique Stevenson
Nakobe Dean
Clay Webb

Starting to hear more rumblings that we are looking at taking a second RB, and looking hard at the kid from Rome.

Maybe. Personally, I don't think Griffin is an SEC back and think we would be more likely to stand pat with one back than take a guy that would be a reach.
But, my opinion should be taken very lightly since I am a noted troll, Mizzou fan, and socialist.

I tend to agree, but it is our coaches who are reaching out to him, and not the other way around. Either we are not feeling real solid on Emery, or they are seriously looking at him.

You? Who said that? I have found you to be more "in the know" than most on the board.

Coachs reach out to tons of kids. Think it's more of a hedging bets situation now.

Hope you are right. I mean, the kid just ran something like 230 yards against Kell last week, so I think he is underrated, but....we could use other positions more, imo.
If Holyfield has a big year he could go Pro, and if White turns out to be injury prone, or does not recover fully it could get dicey real quick back there.
It will be a very interesting finish for our class, though, as I think we have one or two looking hard at us right now that people don't know about. Maybe 2-3 kids. Top flight kids.

What’s the thinking on Emery and Coach Bleaux landing at his school in the chopper? Kirby power move would be to parachute onto the field
Posted on 9/11/18 at 10:13 pm to Hobnailboot
Or Kirby power move blow LSU out at home

Georgia feels good about him at this point. He is one of the top players in Louisiana at LSUs biggest position of need...orgeron is likely to land a Harrier there before it's over.
At this point it hasn't swayed him, but obviously a long way to go.

A little OT and I can't link the article as I'm reading it from the UGA updates, but its from a Sentell article supposedly about recruits reactions to the last game...
"Nation’s No. 5 TE/ No. 169 overall
Ryland Goede (left) was more than pleased to see UGA win the way it did on Saturday. (Jeff Sentell/DawgNation)
“Good to see the explosiveness on both sides of the ball. We are finally putting away teams that we should and its fun to watch for sure.” — 4-star UGA commit Ryland Goede"
That comment about putting away teams is so freaking refreshing.

I doubt it had much of an effect. Fromm what I understand LSU is pulling ahead in the race for Noah Cain, so it wouldn't surprise me if they began to pull back a bit on Emery. I know LSU fans insist they would take 3 backs, but I just don't see it.

Emery’s fumbled twice tonight.
Excited to see the LSU spin of how overrated he is after this.

Witifong CBs #1 recruit in IL to dawgs. If it comes to fruition, would be back to back years landing IL's top recruit.
