Matt Corral looks super impressive. I love his ability to elude rushers and still hit his receiver. This 5* needs to play in Athens, the best college town. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

We need a big name to start our recruiting train going

You fricktard. You screwed over Dallas. Now Z. White will go to OSU.

I knew better.

He does too. He's just a fricktard.

I agree he's a fricktard, but it's pretty funny seriously grown men take a post count.

Meh, it's just a little joke on here and a little tradition.

I think this recruiting class will be the downfall of Kirby eventually.
Posted on 5/27/17 at 10:05 pm to DawgMan21
I hope not. Kirby's downfall implies that the football program is in a bad spot. I hope there is no downfall and Kirby wins 20 championships over the next 20 years. I don't get why people want to see him fail or hope that he fails.

Good God man. Give Kirby some time.
You just signed a hell of a class and have 9 months until NSD.
You'll finish with a Top 10 class, probably Top 5.
I've said it here once, and I'll say it again, y'all have got to be patient.
Saban was 7-6 his first season at Alabama. You have a better talent base to pull from and your schedule is favorable. You have a stud QB, a legendary talent at RB and a Top 3 defense coming back.
I foresee 10 wins at minimum for Georgia next year.

We still have a lot of big targets. It will be ok.

Doubt it will be top 5. It will be a relatively small class, unless something has changed. I haven't been following as closely. But, yes, I agree the class will be fine, and we all agree he should be given 3-4 years to see what he can do. He needs all of his players on the roster, and give him time to iron out "young coach hiccups".

I agree. If we don't get 10 I will be disappointed. Not ready to fire him, but I will be very disappointed.

I doubt that will happen. It'll be tough to overcome a start this slow, considering that a lot of our top instate targets are already committed elsewhere. I'll be happy if we crack the top 20, but that's not a given either.

Not to mention a lot of guys we're favored for right now that are in the 3 star range are expected to get some major bumps to their ranking after some of these camps are over with. Barring like a 6 win season we'll have a top 10 class followed by a top 3 class in 2019.
I'll be happy if we crack the top 20,
QB: ?
RB: Teague, Zamir
WR: Kearis Jackson, Ezzard, Josh Vann
TE: Tommy Tremble, Fitzpatrick
OL: Salyer, Hill, Condon, Faalele
DL: Stephon Wynn, Alfred Thomas, Tramel Walthour, Brenton Cox
LB: Caleb Tannor and one of KJ Henry/Ojulari/Channing Tindall
DB: Chris Smith, Tyreke Johnson, Trey Dean, Kyler McMichael
K: Camarda
Something like that is a definite top 10 class.

I like your optimism. We could have a very strong defense and enough offense to win 10 games. If UGA wins the East and finishes strong everything should be all right.
Posted on 5/28/17 at 4:55 pm to SumterCoDawg
Well, when we start getting recruiting points for every athlete that shows up on someone's list as considering UGA, then we should be good to go. But, for those of us who've been following recruiting for a while, two 5 stars in the bush is worth zilch.
With a three star and a kicker at the beginning of June, I'll stick with being happy if we end up top 20. You're entitled to continue daydreaming and throwing 6th grade insults at anyone who disagrees with your grandiose predictions.

Alabama's in a similar place as us right now.
But they obviously have some history. If I'm a recruit I don't want to commit to UGA yet either. I want to see how we look as a team and see if my coach looks like he's going to have a future in Athens. A 10 win season solves all of that.
Posted on 5/28/17 at 5:02 pm to wdhalgren
And you're entitled to be a miserable count that only wants to bring people down to your level of despair.

A 10 win season would be nice, and would probably help some with the 2019 class. I don't think winning 10 games will turn this class completely around. Message board logic might make that sound reasonable, but in the real world recruit opinions don't change like that. Top 10 class is not likely, IMO.

UGA hasn't finished with lower then the #12 ranked class since 2000. One od the premier programs in college football. They will at least have a top 15 class no matter what happens this season
