Zamir update From the head writer at TigetNet

quote:

I called and spoke with Zamir White's coach up in Laurinburg, NC. The Clemson coaches were in there this week to check in on White, and I was told that "nothing has changed" in regards to White's recruitment. In other words, sounds like it's Georgia and everybody else is way behind. His quote, "They came. They saw. They left. Nothing has changed."

I think a guy like Zamir will help get the ball rolling

As many really good backs as we have had the past few years, I honestly believe he could end up being the best. His film seems to indicate that his speed, breakaway speed, vision and power are all superior.

Of course, nobody can definitively tell that until they get on campus and put the pads on.

Just returned to the states, so I'm a little behind. Very excited to see Smith commit. I know he's on top of our DB board, so this is/was big news

Sorry if it was already mentioned but Tray Scott flew up here to KC last week and went and saw this kid at William Chrisman HS. BIg athletic kid. Tough to measure him up because he plays lower level competition in this area. Casting a wide net looking for defensive linemen all of the country for 2018.

It seems the staff is casting a wide net at all positions. I don't have the actual numbers, but I believe UGA has offered the most players in 2018. I could be wrong, but I thought I saw a stat showing over 200+ offers.

Kenyatta Watson, father of FSU commit KW Jr. (2019) and handler (pimp) of many top '19 targets, was bitching about this on twitter. The 140 characters didn't really get his point across, but he said it turns kids off. It's certainly a different approach than the previous coach. People bitched that CMR waited too long to offer, now people bitch CKS offers too many. Can't win...

We certainly seem to be throwing a lot of offers out. Especially DT QBs

It turned him off because his son wasn't one of them until very recently.

KW needs to just frick off honestly. Dude did a podcast last week that was nothing but shitting on UGA and our fans for an hour. Not good considering the connections to players he has and the fact he's already pushing kids to FSU with his son. Wouldn't surprise me if he has his hand out too, no way that guy is clean.

Pretty sure we've also offered every CB in the country.

It's perplexing that a grown man latches onto these kids and drives them in a direction for his own benefit. His son only got an offer from FSU, because Jimbo wanted to secure his fathers affection, I.e get commits from top rated propsects. I'd be willing to wager money that his son will never see the field at FSU. By that time Jimbo will have signed two strong classes out of Georgia in '19 and '20. Kirby has his work cut out for him with Kenyatta spewing his hate for UGA.

Exactly, don't even think he sees the field at Grayson yet he has a ton of offers from major programs. '19 should still be a ridiculous class for us, but this will make it extremely tough to get anybody from Grayson as well as some others that are close with this guy.

Its gonna be hard to beat FSU out for a bunch of those 2019 recruits that would have been ours had we offered lil Watson earlier.
