It's the early Christmas that AmericusDawg has talked about.

Think he's announcing at Sports and Social bar/restaurant at the Battery at SunTrust park. Big signing day event going on there on the 20th. 680 will be broadcasting live all day from there...

Damn, I hope we don't do what LSU did on their 5 for 5 day and only snag 1.

Speaking of Cade Mays. I keep seeing people saying he is leaning toward Clemson and Georgia has lost the lead for him.

What say you AmericusDawg?

I’d love to have Mays, but if we get Salyer, lose Mays but get Cox I’ll take that all day

I just don't see Mays coming to a team with Andrew Thomas and Isaiah Wilson in front of him.

Unless IW is just a total bust...

Isaiah Wilson getting rave reviews, fwiw. Expect him to make lots of noise next season and beyond.

In my opinion, Wilson and his development have little to no impact on Mayes' recruitment at this point.

We get the last visit. I'll put my money on kirby and Pittman to close strong.

While you could be right, I would think Mays gets a red shirt and when he is ready to take on playing time Thomas is a Junior. Mays gets lots of playing time as a RS Freshman and sophomore, then takes over at RT when Wilson slides over to LT....OR takes over to LT and Wilson stays at RT.

Linemen function as a unit and are sold on iron sharpens iron. Not like RB or QB where there’s only so many touches to give. Best linemen play and the better your overall talent, the better your line. You don’t fear guys like Thomas and Wilson and Cleveland already being there, you welcome it

Not to mention they don't play every snap. We rotate linemen in and out as often as feasible. No Lineman expects t play all game. If you are one of the top 2 at your position, you will see plenty of snaps.

FWIW, this doesn't really apply to OL the way it does to DL. Not to say that *no* rotation happens ever, but it's definitely not the same. But with the current state of the SEC East, we could legitimately field 2 separate starting OL's... H1, H2 and probably be fine in all but a handful of games. (I'm mostly kidding...)

Certainly not. I didn't mean to insinuate otherwise. I am trying to shorten my posts, so I may not be making myself clear.

You just keep your insinuations to your self... You SAID...

Of course I'm kidding. All good I assumed it was lack of clarity more than anything. Posting on the internet just isn't life or death...
