Yea unless we don't stand a chance of getting one the DBs we are after and he is a fall back option

Since when are ADs involved in recruiting? Is that even appropriate according to NCAA rules?

I was curious about that, myself.

Recruits can be contacted by the 9 on field coaches at a school. In a case like Tennessee where there isn't a head coach, the AD can declare themselves one of those individuals as long as they have passed the NCAA recruiting rules test.

That's what's going on here.

Lot of talk Sunday about Natrez Patrick potentially being gone after his possession charge Sat night. My question is if that happens (and possibly the other player that was charged with him is dismissed also, total speculation at this point) what implications does that have for players we may want but didn’t have slots for?

The other won’t be dismissed. He may be taken off of the depth chart of every team he is on give. Shoulder pads and a helmet hat we used the last time we made the Nationals championship and run off but he won’t be dismissed. It’s his first run into with trouble.

This... if you remember back after Mac was canned at UF, Stricklin apparently was doing some reaching out to recruits as well... LINK

Pretty standard if HC is ousted.

No real implications. Cap for the signing class remains at 25. At the ILB position we will still take Channing Tindall and/or Otis Reese, which has been the plan all along.

How do upper classmen/graduate transfers work regarding signees/initial counters. Like did Mo Smith add to our initial counters in 2016?

Adam Anderson is now a 5* on Rivals, hopefully enough to bump him up to a composite 5*.

I'm not the end all be all expert on the new rules, but I believe that as of this year, grad transfers count towards your 25. That's the area of the rule I'm most foggy on though.

Adam Anderson officially a composite 5*, overall moves bring us to within a point of passing Penn State for 4th place.

We will close the class at #1 or #2. Should be our best class ever numerically.

Didn't see it posted, but update from Zamir's surgery was that the damage was actually minimal. Recovery is expected to be quicker than was originally thought.

Azeez now slated to have his repaired in Athens on Thursday AM.

Keep these guys in your thoughts and/or prayers...

Should we be concerned that he knows the Rutgers coach's name but not Kirby's?

No more concerned than I am that his last name is spelled wrong... (it's a reporter's notes I believe).
