I feel like whenever something bad happens, an arrest, decommit, or something, Kirby calls on one of the silents to announce.... I bet we get a commit today or tomorrow to rally the fan base back up

Hill was showing AU some love on twitter yesterday after their win. Im at work so I cant post the link, but I would definitely think he is an AU lean

“It was a good game, a good game to see how Auburn really is. I was very impressed with Auburn’s offensive line. They held up for (Jarrett) Stidham and that was great to see. I wanted Auburn to come out with the win. Georgia had the big head about being No. 1.”-- Trey Hill

Yeah...If you want to go somewhere else, go there...but understand that trashing the other team that you have supposedly been considering in a very public way will create ill will and has a way of coming full circle.

I hate seeing comments like that as well, but in his defense, nothing he said is inaccurate.
I'm just hoping our big OL targets see that shite show yesterday and realize that they can come in and play here because we still need massive help

We didn't lose because we had a "big head".

I think the case for big uglies on both sides of the line for us was made pretty evident, yesterday.

Alontae Taylor de-commits from UTk. His new top 5: UGA, Louisville, Wake Forest, Bama, and GT.

Tyson Campbell getting several CB's to Miami and Trey Hill a CB to Auburn.

Yesterday was the result of not getting Brown or Solomon on the DL and starting a converted DT at Center with a freshman at RT and a Guard playing over his head at LT

We went from "cupboard bare, to flush with depth and now back to cupboard bare.
I said it once and I will say it again. We (Georgia fans) overreact like no other fan base.

You can be deficient on the LOS and still have a pretty full cupboard for a new coach. Those two things don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
Tell me we are as strong on the OL and DL as we should be.

Tell me a team who thinks they are, outside of Alabama?
Hey, no offense to you. You're a great poster. I wasn't aiming it at you, necessarily. Mainly frustrated with a lot of our other posters. And, this should probably be in another thread. I should have kept my mouth shut.

Rumor on another board by some insider that we politely told Trey he didn't have a spot here and it appears he was somewhat bitter about it. Take it FWIW of course, but it would make sense given that latest comment.

Only way I see that happening is if Mays is coming. And even then I don’t see them turning him away

That may be true, but we have a pretty consistent habit of dying things like that anytime we lose out on a prospect. Kirby is absolutely killing it on the trail, but sometimes we just lose out on kids.

quote:Which is why I normally don't believe things like that, but insiders have been saying for over a month now that we're looking at like 20 or more guys for the last 7-8 spots, so some highly rated guys are going to get left out. While Trey is highly rated there have been some questions this year about his overall commitment/passion for the game and we've got a lot of beasts on the interior OL that are freshmen or incoming freshmen, so that guard spot may not be as big of a need as another DL or CB. I'm not saying it did or didn't happen, but I wouldn't be that shocked if more people come out and say that it did.
