Well the bid for the sweep is off to a bad start. Webb barely made it 3 innings giving up 4 runs, Smith came on in the 4th giving up another. Poor day on the mound and bats can’t seem to find any traction as we’ve stranded 3

Dawgs down to their last strike with Ivan Johnson on 1st. Pitcher throws, Johnson steals, but nobody covers 2nd and the ball goes into centerfield. Johnson has arse home and scores to tie it. Tennessee just Tennessee’d so hard

Week in a sentence: The Bulldogs hadn’t won a series in a month before beating Tennessee, but they remain in second place in the SEC East and in the top 10 of the RPI, giving them a solid chance to make an Athens Regional a reality.

Did a mock bracket

1.Florida vs Wagner
Jacksonville vs Central Florida

16.Coastal Carolina vs North Carolina Greensboro
East Carolina vs Louisiana Tech

8.Florida State vs Hartford
South Florida vs Florida Atlantic

9.UCLA vs Cal State Fullerton
Oklahoma State vs LSU

4.Arkansas vs Saint Louis
Oklahoma vs Iowa

13.Indiana vs Wright State
Vanderbilt vs Houston

5.Texas Tech vs Canisius
Ohio State vs Dallas Baptist

12.Georgia vs Navy
Duke vs Troy

2.Stanford vs Grand Canyon
UCONN vs San Diego State

15.Texas A&M vs Oral Roberts
Texas vs Sam Houston State

7.Ole Miss vs Jackson State
Southern Miss vs Louisiana Lafayette

10.Clemson vs Yale
Auburn vs Michigan

3.North Carolina vs Coppin State
Stetson vs St John's

14.Kentucky vs Kent State
Louisville vs Tennessee Tech

6.Oregon State vs Pepperdine
Minnesota vs Missouri

11.North Carolina State vs Campbell
South Carolina vs Northeastern

It seems like the bubble for hosts is pretty weak this year, so with our high RPI and double digit wins against the top 50, we should host as long as we dont crap the bed the last few weeks.

Also, mocked the winners from that bracket

2.Stanford vs Texas
Auburn vs Southern Miss

3.North Carolina vs Tennessee Tech
6.Oregon State vs South Carolina

1.Florida vs Louisiana Tech
Oklahoma State vs South Florida

Vanderbilt vs Oklahoma
5.Texas Tech vs 12.Georgia

2.Stanford vs Auburn
3.North Carolina vs 6.Oregon State

1.Florida vs South Florida
12.Georgia vs Oklahoma

1.Florida vs 3.North Carolina

I'll be at the game tonight, looking forward to it. Hope Hancock can give us another good outing against a hot hitting team. Need to win this series.

Dawgs up 2-0 in the 2nd after Curry, Sasser, and Meadows earn hits.

Just thought about next year's roster and, man, we could be friggin loaded if Curry stays for his senior year. Wouldn't anticipate any other Juniors leaving unless they're just sick of school.

You're probably looking at:

1 - RF Tucker Bradley (JR)
2 - SS Cam Shepherd (Jr)
3 - DH Michael Curry (Sr)
4 - 1B Adam Sasser (Sr)
5 - 3B Aaron Schunk (Jr)
6 - LF CJ Smith (So)
7 - C Mason Meadows (RSo)
8 - 2B LJ Talley (Sr)
9 - CF Tucker Maxwell (Jr)

On the mound you return:

Emerson Hancock (So)
Ryan Webb (So)
Tony Locey (Jr)
Kevin Smith (Sr)
Zac Kristofak (Jr)
Will Proctor (Jr)
Aaron Schunk (Jr)

Dawgs up 1 in the 5th and causing themselves some problems on back to back errors to put runners on the corners with nobody out

Mizzou ties it up in the 5th, Dawgs off to another rocky start in the 6th with a single, a balk on Hancock, and another error.

Runners on the corners, nobody out, and Hancock and the defense are struggling

Cornelius gives another one a ride ofr Mizzou but comes up just short of the walk-off, at the track.

Schunk throws one pitch to earn Save #7 and the Dawgs have now earned their most victories in a season since 2012 (32).

I think 37 wins is possible before heading into the SEC tournament. Right now we are a game behind Arkansas in 3rd place. Need to be in top 4 to get a bye for the SEC tournament.
