Swift - Michel
Holyfield - Chubb
Cook - Swift (Looks great in open space)
Wims - (I'm not touching this one. Dam he was good)

Chubb and Michel both experienced injuries during their careers and both split carries with the 3rd 4th and 5th backs this year to reduce chances of any predraft injuries. To me that slowed them down just a hitch throughout the season. Now we have these young dudes coming to 2018 running fearlessly. Unfortunately I don't think Zeus will be ready because his injury happened late in the year. I know y'all gonna say the same thing happened with Gurley and he had a great NFL rookie season, but I think Zeus won't be at 100% and should redshirt. I don't believe we will have two 1000 yard backs, but I think their combined ypc will be higher. The Oline will be the best ever and should make for must see Dawg tv.

Holloman > Wims

Hopefully.

Don't agree with nearly any other point you made besides OL. Sony and Chubb are arguably the best RB duo of all time.

Possible with improved OL play. Going to be hard to match that dynamic duo production though.

What? Sony averaged like 8 yards a carry this year. Nick averaged 6.5ish before the NC game. I love Cook and White and think long-term White might be the best if he fully recovers, but it’s insane to expect our guys to average what Sony and Nick did last season.

If they do, awesome, but I think that would in large part be to continued improvement on the o-line and Fromm’s improved ability as a passer.

Swift, Holyfield and Cook shouldn't skip a beat. I making these assumptions because of the 2018 Oline. That line should open alleys to allow them open space to do what they do best.

Not with a Oline like the one Pittman is putting together.

i find it absolutely fricking insane that the the one guy that we probably could improve on (only because the others are all world players) is the guy that you said you weren't touching

I'm confused why so many people are sleeping on Cook. He's the #3 rated RB in America.

Don't be surprised if he ends up being the #1, especially with White out.

Holyfield definitely won't be starting above Cook.

And if White is healthy, don't expect to see much of Holyfield at all.

Chaney won't use Cook to run up the middle. Holyfield will be close to 220lbs and Chaney will use him the same way he used Chubb.

Why are you so high on cook or low on swift and Holyfield?

Holyfield is 5 ft 10.

James Cook is listed at 5 ft 11.5 but has some weight to put on. Shouldn't be that hard to do, he has the frame for it.

To say Holyfield will be the power back for runs up the middle over Cook based on size is ignorant.

I'm not low on Swift, I love Swift.

White/Cook/Swift doesn't leave much room for Holyfield unless White struggles with his ACL, or someone else gets hurt.

Holyfield looked good to me this year. Not sure anyone besides swift is gonna be ahead of him. Also, Cook might be more of an apb than a true Rb. Think we use him like we used swift this year.

Yeah I don't think so. Eventually? Maybe! But comparing the 2018 versions of people to their 2017 version counterparts, Idk. *Keep in mind, I wouldn't be surprised in the least bit to be BETTER on offense overall in 2018, I'm just talking about the individuals*

Sony/Swift- I would be incredibly shocked if swift has a better season this year than sony did last year. Sure they have similar skillsets but Sony was much thicker and was more of a threat up the middle (in addiiton to everywhere else)

Chubb/Holyfield- I like holyfield but at this point he hasn't shown he will be at the same level as chubb

Swift/cook- I can see cook having the edge here simply because there will be more touches to go around, and swift wasn't proven going into 2017 either.

wims- yeah hard to replace

I do think our OL will be even better, and I think Fromm will be improved. But I don't think the 3 guys you mentioned will be better in 2018 than their 2017 counterparts.

James Cook is listed at 6'0, 182lbs and electric as frick. He will line up in the slot and replace Swifts role on offense. Holyfield will have a breakout year.

Sorry if I’m off base here. But are you saying you like Cook more because he’s taller?

You are off base indeed. I was rebutting the claim made by an earlier poster that Holyfield will be used over Cook for inside runs due to size.

So you are penciling in two incoming freshman RBs to be 2 of the top 3 backs come beginning of season?

This is just completely wrong as well. J Cook is listed at 181 pounds by 24/7 and Holyfield is listed at 215. In our offense shown by Chaney, the bigger back gets it up the gutz for the most part, hence why Chubb kept getting runs up the middle vs Bama late in the game. Holyfield will be preferred on runs up the middle over J Cook in 2018, unless you think he can add 20-30 pounds by now until August **and if he adds 30 pounds it will put him at 211 lbs and still lighter than Holyfield**. For reference, Holyfield was listed at 204 pounds as a recruit by 24/7, and we see that only gained 11 pounds over the year. You must be really expecting big things for J Cook to gain 2-3 times as much.

Also you do know that N Chubb is 5'10" (by 24/7) as well?

I meant for inside runs. I believe weight would be the much more important measurement when discussing inside runs.

Again, apologize if I'm misunderstanding you.
