June 2-4 will be the first official Kirby Smart Camp at UGA and is meant for rising 9th and 10th graders and JUCO prospects
Is this the same thing as the "Freshman Day" that was mentioned a while back? I saw a quick article or 2 then never saw it mentioned again. Was supposed to be the first of its kind around the region and was just for 2019 prospects. Did they just take that idea and turn it into the Kirby Smart Camp to also include 10th graders/Juco?

I think we already had Freshman Day, actually.
This is pretty much just Kirby's version of the CMR camps. Still no word if we will do anything like DawgNight going forward

Interesting. It would appear as if Smart is putting more of an emphasis on building early relationships, then carrying those relationships through to their senior years and signing day.

Not sure what you mean. If you are saying it is too early to tell, you have a legitimate point. That's why I said "It would appear...."

Am I misunderstanding?

I just saw Brian Herrienn qualified for a scholly to our 16' class, this is great news, and should help at RB depth. Kid is built good nice already 6'1 210. His high school stats are pretty impressive also.

Check out the pic in the article. That kid is a full grown man.

Max Wray and Trevor Lawrence

Okay, if pre-haircut Eason is "Sunshine", then Lawrence is Travis Birkenstock from Clueless.

Max and Trevor hanging in the recently renovated Sky-Club.

Why does Trev remind me of Johnny Utah from Point Break lol.

He looks like Mitch from dazed and confused

I'd say Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High

I read on a rival board that Lawrence is a silent commit and isn't taking interviews. Probably smoke, but anyone hearing anything?
Posted on 5/15/16 at 6:44 pm to Mike Gordon
He isn't doing interviews at the moment, and I think we're definitely in the running in a big way, but I would be highly, highly skeptical of anyone saying that Lawrence silently committed.
He seems to want to make his visits this summer, get more looks at the schools, and make a decision towards August. Doesn't seem to be playing the "I want attention" BS, so if he tales more visits its because he isn't sure yet.
Just my two cents, but I'm as full of shite as anyone else here, so...

Highly doubt it. We're in the thick of it and may even lead for the time being, but everyone not publicly committed is really in wait and see mode with us: everything so far passes and exceeds every expectation and smell test there is. But they want to see this thing in action come fall. A few losses are acceptable and even to be expected but they want to see some wins and some cohesion and the program being competitive and the guys having fun. THAT gets you Lawrence and anyone else you want

Tee Higgins (5* WR) names us to top 10 list. Would be a huge get from out of state and awesome to steal him from Tenn.
