So not possible to get #1? With everything we've done, and the hype we're getting, how are Bama and OSU STILL beating us there? I mean come one
what do we gotta do?

It's either Williams or Soloman for the final recruit. The addition of Stokes suggests it's not Williams, but it still could be. Collins and Bryant go elsewhere.

Even if we had room for Solomon, Bryant and Collins, that would leave us around 307. Bama and OSU are sitting at 312 and 309 respectively. They are having INSANE classes. The fact is that this will likely be far and away the best class UGA has ever seen.

The funny thing is UGA is tied with Bama for the most ESPN 300 recruits, if you give ESPN any mind.

Knowing how Bama operates I wouldn't be surprised if we sign an extra 5 or 6 today and greyshirt if needed

The great thing about our class is we don't really have any TRUE reaches, like 2 or very low 3* guys that we simply threw an offer to just because. Yeah, I guess you could call stokes that, but that was like 20 minutes ago.
With bama and OSU, not only do they not have any dead weight, their top end is ridiculous compared to everyone else. We have two 5* commits, OSu and bama both have 5. And they're likely to get some more today as well. Oh, and OSU also has 3 less commits than us.
On the topic of "no dead weight", our average player ranking is 93.36, which is incredibly good. Like, almost insanely good. Then you look at OSU's average star ranking...of 94.7. It's just off the charts the classes those 2 are putting together.
BUT, with all that said, that's more a testament to their classes than an indictment on ours. This is going to be the best recruiting class we've ever signed, and would likely be #1 in most years the last 20 years.

I think if all of our maybes signed with us, we wouldnt get 5 or 6 more. Only 3 or 4 real maybes left

Combined with the fact that other SEC east programs are not recruiting very well at all - Kirby hit it out of the park this year.
Even when Richt was pulling a top 7ish class, usually Florida and/or Tennessee was right there neck and neck with us. UT has fallen off the map and Florida will need a strong finish to crack to the top 12 this year.
