The way it was explained to me was that Beal had Kaindoh come up to Athens for a visit a while back and now he's just returning the favor

UGA needs to shut that down regardless

Not sure I agree, that could send a pretty bad message.

These guys are friends and enjoy going on trips together. We had zero shot at kaindoh but he came to athens with his buddy, now beal is just returning the favor. IMO it's a dangerous game of chicken we dont' want to get into.

"Hey rob, love you and glad to have you but you can't go on that trip to FSU"
-Why not?
"Shows you aren't fully committed. You can't take any other visits at this point since you're committed to us"
-Or what?

Then what...do we threaten to pull his offer simply for going on a visit with a friend? What if he goes all in and says ok fine...we're gonna kick him to the curb for a visit?

Bama can do stuff like that because not only do they alreayd have 2 or 3 5* at that position but they've got a few more alrady committed too. We don't have that luxury.

I'm not talking about playing hardball. Just convince him that he doesn't need to take it. He already took an OV there

But what I'm saying is what if he listens and says he's going anyway? I just think it's a situation we don't need to put ourselves in.

Then we need to start making plans for him flipping

I just think that's an extreme overreaction. Committed prospects go on visits elsewhere all the time, every weekend. If Beal DOES in fact flip to FSU, it isn't going to be because of this one trip.

They don't pay their own way to go on trips to other schools two weeks before NSD all the time.

I'm not saying it's because of this one trip, just that taking this one trip would be a serious indication of where his head's at.

I'm not saying cut him or anything like that, but it would be foolish to not treat it as a red flag.

Kids visit other schools after they have committed all the time. You are being ridiculous. In fact, Beal has already taken an OV to Bama and FSU since he's committed.

Shut it down You're crazy thinking that will work....

They do, and I don't comment on them really ever. The timing of this one makes me nervous.

You approach the conversation like this, "hey, we know you're thinking about heading to Tallahassee this weekend, but we've got some guys coming in for OVs this weekend and would appreciate it if you'd come up here to help out instead. Plus, you could also spend some time building relationships with your teammates." Then just see where the conversation goes from there and if you're comfortable with it.

That's all I'm proposing.

Okay, then I guess I got confused by the part where you said "shut it down," because what you just said is nowhere near "shutting it down."

In other news, Richard LeCounte III took an OV to OSU in November and rumor has it he's going to decommit.

And I was comfortable with that one because it was an all expenses paid trip to see a football game in November.

An entirely different situation...maybe your missing the difference between a paid trip and paying your own way on a trip. Not like Beal is still down at IMG and possibly in the area. He goes to peachtree ridge now, from my understanding.

Yes it was sarcasm.

Beal said he is still 100% committed and it is not a recruiting trip. Yet people still want to read into something that isn't there. I guess that's what happens during the dead period.

Has anyone heard anything on Tony Gray? He just got a CB to Florida. Is he a take or are we just set at the OL for this class?

Tony Grey is not a take and will not be in our class. Demrey, Thomas, and Wilson were much higher on our board.

Idk exactly what went down with him but I remember we cooled on him a WHILE ago and haven't really paid him much attention since. I assume there's a good reason we soured considering our need for OL.
