Speed is a fallback if Gibbs goes to Bama IMO.

If we get Gibbs and Bishop he's not a take

Keep an eye on Stokes though

Nope Speed is being recruit as a corner and I don't think his recruitment has anything to do with Gibbs. UGA 247 Rusty says he will probably be bumped up to a 4 stars soon and he probably higher on the board than Stokes.

Stokes, Speed and Brini all visiting the same weekend in January. I wonder how that will out because UGA will probably only have room for one of them.

First man up, I'd assume. A lot of folks were torn up when Brini decommitted. I thought he was a given for Miami, once he went back on the market.

Just for funsies I plugged Collins, Solomon, Bishop, and Gibbs into the class calculator, it would end us up with a 307 score. That would be ahead of OSU adn tied with bama for #1. Of course, it's a long shot of long shots for that to actually happen, on top of the fact that bama and OSU are SURELY going to reel in a few more big timers of their own. Still though, nice to see. I can't seem to locate a list of highest ranked recruiting classes of this era (aside from just going back and looking at each individual year, which I haven't done) but I think a 307 score would be up there and would be good for #1 just about any other year this century. Just so happens bama and OSU are putting together some all-timer classes themselves.

RB Cam Akers, we will have a hat on the table and that's it. We have zero shot for that young man.

Bama and tOSU will get a few more each, there is no catching them, but I would bet 307 would lock up 3rd place for us (and arguably our best class ever)

even if we whiff on collins and solomon which is definitely more likely than not...if we add bishop and gibbs (and maybe a surprise or 2 like flipping rice or getting m.bryant) I think it's already in strong contention for our best ever.

I think '98 is widely considered one of our best, and obviously the '80 class because of herschel but there were some stalwarts in there too. But this one top to bottom is just awesome.

I agree WG - '98 is what I would think as the best to date. I guess we won't be able to really judge for 3-4 years, but it definitely has the potential of being the best

That '98 class not only had a lot of highly ranked guys, but it had an extraoridnarily high # of guys that really contributed in some kind of meaningful way for us at some point.

Boss Bailey
Terreal Bierria
Quincy
Terrence Edwards
George Foster
Tony Gilbert
David Jacobs
Ian Knight
Jasper Sanks
Jon Stinchcomb
Ken Veal
Wansley
Will Witherspoon

All those guys played big minutes for us. Hell of a class

50/50 imo but probably won't hear anything until he shows up for class (or doesn't)

ETA: Just from reading updates on UGA or LSU 247

normally I take flip news like this with a serious load of salt, but this one feels different. Hell it doesnt' even really feel like he even committed to LSU practically. The guy was a heavy lean to us and just about everybody with an opinion had him locked into us. Then out of nowhere he randomly commits to LSU because aranda waited at the airport all day? Seemed like that commit was flimsy at best. I wouldn't even really consider this a "flip", more so just him doing what he was originally going to all along.

If it happens, of course.

I called it since he committed that he would have second thoughts. I think he went on a whim and has regretted it IMO

For the guys that are open at the end, these decisions get chaotic.
